Kaneki is happily married to Touka. In one omake he realizes with horror that ghoul marriage is initiated by biting someone and leaving bite marks, so that could mean he and Amon are married. In your scenario he likes him as well as Touka. Unlike in the omake where he desperately seeks Amon out to divorce him so he can live with Touka with no regrets he asks him to remain married with him as he has grown to love him as well as Touka. Amon is embarrassed about bite=marriage but agrees

“You mean…you’re married to Amon, too?” Touka points across the room to the former CCG investigator. “The Rabbit is married to the Eyepatch Ghoul who is married to Investigator Amon?”

“Basically,” Kaneki squeaks.

“This is insanity,” Amon mutters. He can’t believe no one at CCG knew this.

“I concur.” Touka glares at Amon.

He glares back. “I like you, Rabbit, but I don’t wanna marry you.”

“Same, dude.” Touka sighs.

“I’m okay divorcing you,” Kaneki says to Amon, though he really isn’t.

Amon flushes. “I mean – you love Touka, right? It’s only right.”

“I do,” Kaneki says, but he hesitates. I want you, too.

“If that isn’t the most pathetic look ever. Both of you.” Touka rolls her eyes. “Ever heard of polyamory?”

“Touka!” Kaneki gasps.

Amon’s face is scarlet.

“I don’t mind. Divorce him if you want, or I’m married to you who’s married to him. It’s fine with me.” Touka sighs. “I just want you to be happy.”

Three months later

“How’s our baby?” Amon bounces into the bedroom where Touka has been napping. “I bought it a crucifix.”

“Huh?” Touka cracks open her eyes. “Oh, that’s actually really sweet.”

Outside the room, Kaneki watches his wife and husband embrace, and wonders how he got so lucky to have them both.

Kaneki discovering Shikorae is Rio and trying hard to get his beloved friend (from tg jail) to live for the good side and return to sanity with love and friendship coming from Kaneki’s end. It works and time skip to Kaneki and Rio (returned to normal) once again happily working at Anteiku together. I love these two together they’re so sweet

I looooooove Rio.

“Do you seriously not recognize your old friend?” Furuta throws back his head and laughs.

Shikorae babbles something incomprehensible and staggers forward.

“Nothing?” Furuta shakes his head. “How does jail sound? Jail did this to him. Jail did this to himself, actually. How ironic.”

“Rio?” Kaneki hesitates. He looks horrified.

Shikorae chirps in response.

“Uh, Kaneki?” Touka frowns.

“Rio, your name is Rio. Not Shikorae.” Kaneki’s ire blossoms. Why would Eto do this to him?

“I’m bad,” whispers Rio.

All Kaneki wants is to flee, flee like he fled the Quinx, like he fled Anteiku.

So he knows what he must do.

“You’re Rio, my friend. You’ve never been bad.” Kaneki grabs Rio and draws him into a hug.

“Heh?” Rio is confused, but he likes the feeling of warmth from Kaneki’s hug.

Touka watches them with a smile. As long as he likes hugs, there’s hope.

One year later

“I have not had enough coffee to do this shift,” Rio complains. “I need coffee to keep up with their coffee demands!”

“Don’t let Touka hear that.” Kaneki slides a cup towards Rio with a smile.

Rio smiles back. He grips the cup like it’s a hug. “I didn’t have any bad dreams last night.”

“I’m so glad.”

Rio puts the finished cup down and surprises Kaneki by initiating a hug. “Thank you for not giving up on me.”

Hello! It is absolutely essential that we have a conference of kanekis all having a very serious and passionate debate over what is Touka’s most appealing trait in each of their eyes :)

I agree. This is IMPORTANT.

“This is IMPORTANT.” Reaperneki shoves Shironeki back. “Touka-chan’s ferocity is her best characteristic. It’s not even a contest.”

“Uh – I like her compassion,” says Kuroneki. “Like when she force-fed me.”

“Eyepatch, remember how excited we got when she told us not to be gentle?” spits Reaperneki.

“That’s true,” admits Haise. “But her coffee-brewing skills are out of this world. And she was so patient – with me, who didn’t even remember her!”

Shironeki cracks his knuckles. “Touka-chan never gives up.”

“I like her smile,” says the Kuroneki child.

“I like that she isn’t mean,” whispers Shironeki. Haise immediately wraps him in a hug.

“Blehhh-waahhhhh-shhhaaaaaaaa,” sobs 240.

“Can I kill him yet?” asks Reaperneki. “He can’t even say Touka-chan’s name. That’s not forgivable. Let’s make it reaper-time.”

“No killing!” yells Kuroneki, frantically waving his arms.

240 whimpers. “Touka-chan.”

“There.” Haise nods. “You see?”

“Haise, that’s a mean pun, even for you,” Reaperneki shoots back.

“I didn’t mean it like that!”

“Touka-chan is our fire, and we need her,” declares Shironeki.

“We’re still pretty fucked up,” admits Reaperneki.

“I love that she loves me.” Shironeki nods.

All the Nekis fall quiet.

“Do we agree on that?” Reaperneki asks begrudgingly.

“Yes.”

“Yes.”

“Yes!”

“Of – of course!”

“Wah!”

I’ve seen very little Hairu/Sasaki fanfiction. Could you maybe?

“Ihei.” Sasaki Haise nods at her. “That was a brilliant move out there.”

“Oh really?” Ihei Hairu smiles at him. She’s so pretty, his stomach hurts. “Want me to teach you?”

Sasaki nods eagerly, and Hairu rubs her hands together with anticipation.

She’s always felt comfortable around Sasaki, because he is a ghoul. He can’t judge her for the garden. She feels certain that if he knew her secret, he would accept her.

“Teach us, too!” Shio hurries over.

Sasaki’s face falls, and Hairu blushes.

“Uh – Shio…” Yusa says nervously.

“No, no, of course I’ll teach you.” Hairu ruffles Rikai’s hair. She can be another Arima to these kids – teach them, give them hope.

Ui watches but doesn’t join in. He wears a pout on his delicate face.

When Sasaki grabs her hands, Hairu catches her breath. From the red tinge to Sasaki’s cheeks, he feels it too.

Would Arima approve? She thinks so.

“Uh – would you like to get dinner after this?” she asks quickly.

Sasaki nods, and she throws him backwards. “I win this round. You have to be quicker on your feet.”

He smiles back at her.

Sorry about all my prompts but thank you again. Your writing gives me and a good number of fans a break from the tragedy. 😊 Also I was wondering could you write an Eto/Kaneki scenario. I love them together. I love any Kaneki pairing though haha

Aw thank you.

“You do not.” Kaneki stares at Eto, who is secure in her cell. He still feels vulnerable, though, because Sen Takatsuki knows how to wield her words.

“I do. I’ve always crushed on you. Does that scare you?” Eto winks.

“No.”

Eto bursts out laughing. “Kaneki, dear – ”

“Don’t call me that!”

“Kaneki, dear, you are such a sweet, pure child at heart. That’s beautiful in this world. Is it any wonder I’m drawn to your light?” Eto shrugs. “Don’t tell me you felt nothing for Sen Takatsuki.”

“Takatsuki doesn’t exist.” A brief memory occurs – him daydreaming about meeting Takatsuki and falling madly in love. She’d tell him he mattered.

He frowns. Where did that come from?

“Then neither does Haise Sasaki.”

“Stop!” Kaneki yells.

“Or – maybe – both are real. Maybe you’re both Sasaki and Kaneki. Maybe both have their worth.” Eto’s eyes soften. “And maybe the best of you involves both of them.”

“You’ve never wanted the best for me!” A laugh rips from Kaneki’s throat.

“Oh, I’ve always wanted. Known what the best was, now, that’s something different, dear.” Eto’s smile is sad.

With a jolt, Kaneki realizes that Takatsuki is here, and telling him she loves him, and that he matters.

Thank you for so many scenarios. You rock. For Chapter 144, Touka, Saiko, Urie, Scarecrow!Hide and Akira somehow end up in the Kaneki conference and remind them that they aren’t alone in this and to rely on others more. (Maybe end with a “Let’s go home”, from Hide 😭)

Thank you for sending them in! You rock too. =) Also, I included Mutsuki because he’s another part of Kaneki’s ‘family.’

“I want to see Touka-chan again,” Shironeki mumbles.

“She’s here.” Shironeki looks up to see Touka’s hands clasping his face. She leans over him, eyes smoldering.

“Maman!” Saiko dashes in to throw her arms around Haise.

Mutsuki and Urie tiptoe in behind her. Mutsuki waves timidly at the kids, and Urie nods at the Reaperneki. “’Sup.”

“Hey, it’s okay, you know.” Akira enters and approaches 240. She kneels besides him and wraps her arms around him. “Shh, shh. It’s okay.”

“Why are you all here?” Kuroneki blinks.

“Because they love you,” says a garbled voice. Scarecrow enters.

“Who are you, brat?” Reaperneki crosses his arms.

He holds up a sign. I’m Hideyoshi Nagachika.

Kuroneki gasps, and Scarecrow crosses over to him. I was never gone.

“What happened – I mean – why – you’re not really here.” Shironeki’s tears flow. Mutsuki would never be in the same room as Touka-chan.

“We are, in a sense. We’re all a part of you, too, right?” Touka smiles.

“Try to confide in us a bit more,” Saiko says.

“We do love you,” Mutsuki says. “Even Urie. Even me.”

“Where did I go wrong?”

Akira stands. “You didn’t trust us. But we trusted you. We’re a part of you. Let us help you, Ken.”

“Can you bite?” Mutsuki asks. “Just one bite of the Oggai should heal you.”

“He’s a kid!” gasps Kuroneki. “And a human!”

Touka scowls. “Oh, because humanity totally matters.”

“Ghouls aren’t evil.” Akira says. “Despite what I taught you. I’m sorry I failed as your mother, Ken.”

The kids begin to sob. “You didn’t fail us, Akira-san.”

“Take a bite. He’ll heal and so will you. And you’ll save GOAT,” says Urie.

“We’ll be with you,” Saiko adds.

Hide holds up another sign. Let’s go home.

Home isn’t a place. Home is where these messy, crazy people are. Reaperneki wipes his eyes, and Haise smirks at him. “Crying?”

“Let’s go home.” Kuroneki stands, and one by one, all the Nekis follow. Haise guides 240.

Let’s go home.

Shirazu (and not Mutsuki) is the one Urie thinks about on Rushima Island, and how he wishes he were still there fighting with him and knew if he were still alive he’d have a better chance of helping Mutsuki against kakuja!Amon. His thoughts of Shirazu give Urie the strength he needs to continue on

This scenario is loosely inspired from the Trost arc of Attack on Titan.

Whenever Urie feels close to collapse, Shirazu comes to him.

He can see him encouraging Aura to swing that way, right now. He would assure Higemaru he’s going great. He’d be speechless at Hsaio’s skill, and then he’d return to trading snark with Saiko.

He wouldn’t have let Mutsuki vanish.

Why did you go? As he spits out blood, Urie knows it’s not rational to hate Shirazu, but right now he does.

It’s not me. It’s yourself you hate. Shirazu laughs.

Why? Why am I always losing you? Over and over and over?

For a moment, Urie feels he will split in two if he uses his koukaku. He’s weak. He’s tired. He’s lonely.

But then he sees an enormous kakuja heading for Mustuki, and suddenly Urie is alive again. His koukaku is nearly weightless.

It’s as if Shirazu is swinging with him.

We have to live on, Urie thinks as his heart rate settles, because if we don’t, we won’t be able to remember you.

In his head, Shirazu takes his hand.

Furuta is captured by Goat. Angst.

“Eat up, little baby!” Furuta remembers spreading his arms wide as death soared for him.

So how is he waking up – not in nothingness or hell, but in a cell?

Bonjour, Souta. Remember me?”

Furuta sits straight up. Oh, his circulation to his arms and legs has been cut off by chains that bind him to a wall.

Tsukiyama Shuu lounges across the cell.

“Are you my guard?” Furuta bares his teeth.

“For now. That was a dirty trick. I lost my student and two little admirers, you know.” Tsukiyama holds up a card.

To Mr. Tsukiyama,

you’re so cute!

Love,

your secret admirers.

Tsukiyama fights back tears. Shio and Rikai and Yusa were no doubt behind that. And now two are gone, along with Naki.

And it hurts.

“Where’s your king? Or should I say kings?” Furuta snickers.

“Resting.” Tsukiyama chuckles. “See, my dear, you miscalculated. Our king fails in many respects, but he loves us. His rampage stopped at stopping CCG. My, my, we had quite a time deciding whether to eat you all or not. In the end, we settled for keeping you all alive.” He displays his kakugans. “Suitable vengeance, isn’t it? Living with yourself.”

“Why?” Fury begins to bubble in Furuta. He isn’t going to waste away here from accelerated aging. He’s going to be executed by a vengeful Kaneki, who will destroy CCG and everyone who partook in this godforsaken war. “Get me Kaneki! Get me him! Let him kill me! I know he wants to – fuck you!”

“Nah.” Tsukiyama nods. “This was definitely the right choice.”

“Kill me!” screams Furuta. “Kill me! Please! Ha, ha – what if I told you I had your Rose’s body in a freezer? Would you kill me then?”

Tsukiyama’s face remains cold. “Karren deserves better than me killing you.”

“No, please!” Furuta shrieks.

“He’s right.” Ui’s voice comes from next door. “We deserve this.”

I deserve to die!” Furuta bellows.

“Just a question, ever tried deserving to live? Because I think that’s what I deserved.” Hajime calls out from across the hall.

Oh great. The twerp lived. Furuta flops over.

“Someone wants to talk to you.” Tsukiyama opens the door to let in Arima Yusa.

 “Lonely?” Furuta asks.

Yusa’s eyes are bloodshot. “You know, you used to be Shio’s hero. What you did for Rize gave him hope long before we knew Arima had a plan.”

Furuta glowers.

“I’m going to forgive you,” Yusa croaks. “Because that’s what Shio would do. And I bet it’s what Kaneki does, too.”

Furuta is terrified. “I’ve become unforgivable.”

“Not to me. Maybe I’m a dumb child, but I have to be, right?” Yusa’s voice cracks, and Furuta stares at him.

“Souta – slap – why did you let her go?”

Souta shrugged. “Because I’m a dumb child. I have to be, right?”

Yoshitoki and Arima bonding where Yoshitoki feels guilty over his family legacy

Yassssss more Yoshitoki.

“You really shouldn’t drink alone.” Yoshitoki pauses outside Arima’s office.

“I just got through a difficult meeting.” At his desk, Arima sips a glass of sake. Eto makes all their meetings difficult, and she bought the sake for him. Plus, she’s Eto, so she’ll probably blow up his apartment if he doesn’t drink it.

“May I join you?” Yoshitoki asks.

Arima waves him in, and Yoshitoki enters the stark office. Truth to be told, he’s always felt jealous of his half-brother. He wonders why he was the chosen heir instead of Kishou. Because he’s a full ghoul with a full life? How meaningful are extra years, when all he sees is his son’s misery?

“Tell me what you’re thinking, Arima.” Yoshitoki accepts a glass of Sake.

“No.” Arima smiles slightly as Yoshitoki takes his first sip. “Tell me what you’re thinking.”

“That our father berated Matsuri the other day.” Yoshitoki sighs. “I failed with him.”

“Kids are always rebellious. Do you ever think something was actually wrong with us, because we weren’t?” Arima leans back.

“Tsuneyoshi struck him. Matsuri. I’ve never hit him before.” Yoshitoki gulps down the sake. “Sometimes I think I should have, like Father did with me. But I promised his mother before they took her I wouldn’t.”

His eyes are sad. He rarely talks about Matsuri’s mother.

Don’t raise him like a Washuu. Send him to Germany, anywhere but here. Keep him safe, because I won’t be able to. Chika. He feels her hot tears on his face, and he wishes he’d been brave enough to rescue her.

The memories hurt too much. “And I don’t want to hit Matsuri. I … I would have rather Father struck me. How am I such a failure of a father?”

“Not wanting to hurt your child makes you a good father. It’s wrong that we’re in this position,” Arima says sadly.

“I wish I saw a way out.” Yoshitoki helps himself to more sake.

For a moment, Arima considers confessing. But no, Tsuneyoshi’s praise matters too much to Yoshitoki.

He settles for, “I think if we see a way – any way – we need to be ready to seize it.”

Yoshitoki nods slowly. “You give me hope, brother. You know I’ve always seen you as a brother.”

Arima feels oddly touched – or maybe that’s the sake. “Thank you, soft heart.”

Yoshitoki grins. Father used to call him that, and not in a nice way. But somehow, he takes pride in it. In every moment he can not be like his family – all the moments that don’t matter – he makes it count.

Utaren angst.

Utaren is life, Utaren is love, Utaren is angst.

“I can’t let you throw your life away.” Uta crosses the tunnel to Yomo’s bleeding, weakened body.

“I choose to,” Yomo mutters.

Uta looks at the dozens of slowly-healing knife wounds in his friend. “I’m…”

He can’t say he’s sorry. He has no business feeling bad. He chose this. He knew the consequences.

“Then let me help you.”

“Hmm?”

Uta pins Yomo to the ground and pulls aside his shirt. “My shoulder.”

Yomo blinks. “Uta…”

“You need flesh,” Uta says quietly. “Do you not?”

Yomo sinks his teeth into Uta, and Uta recalls the times they did this together as fun, first as a dare, then as part of lovemaking.

But that was a long time ago.

Yomo pulls back, Uta’s blood around his lips. “Why?”

“I never know why with you.” Uta smiles. “Now, go on and save your niece.”

What feels like an earthquake rattles the tunnel. Yomo growls.

“The dragon is unleashed,” Uta says.

Yomo narrows his eyes. “You were keeping me here.”

“I was.”

“Why, Uta?” Yomo shakes his head. “Why?”

“I didn’t want to lose you.” Uta hangs his head.

“But I can lose Touka and Hinami? Touka can lose her child?” Yomo stands, his eyes flashing. “I need you to be real with me, for just a minute, Uta.”

“You won’t like the answer.”

“That’s never stopped me before, has it?”

Uta laughs with his friend for a moment. “No, I suppose it hasn’t.”

“Accompany me to the dragon.” Yomo strides down the tunnel, and with a curse, Uta hurries after him.
