So I’m rereading the og manga and I’m at the bit where Yoriko is visiting Touka’s and sees Kaneki’s shoes and says “Ayato’s home…?” Which tells me they’ve met at least a couple times. Can you write a scenario for right after Dragon War she tries to have a chat with him?

Yesssss.

“Hi there.” Yoriko nods at Ayato. The halls of CCG are filled with ghouls, hybrids, and humans, and somehow, she’s managed to find a Kirishima. 

He winces. “You.”

“I saw you once, a year ago. I called out, but you disappeared…” Yoriko’s voice trails off. “I wanted to find your sister so badly.”

“She didn’t want you to. fr your own safety.” Ayato shrugs. “She’s stubborn like that.”

“Her?” Yoriko narrows her eyes.”You were the kid who fought her over the necessity of brushing his teeth!” 

“I was thirteen!” Ayato scowls, but his eyes twinkle. 

“You didn’t want to brush your teeth?” A pretty girl with light-brown hair appears.

“Hinami, right?”Yoriko brightens, and Hinami embraces her.

“Uh, I’ve changed, Hina,” Ayato says quickly.

“Oh, is that so?” Yoriko cocks an eyebrow. “Hinami, is he your boyfriend?”

“Yes,” Hinami replies.

“I am?” Ayato asks, visible relief on his face.

“If you aren’t, I’ll stab you,” says Touka’s warm voice behind Yoriko.

Yoriko gasps and whirls around. For a moment, the two best friends stare at each other.

“Don’t make me sick,” grouses Ayato. “Hug already!” 

Yoriko giggles and throws herself into Touka’s arms. “He hasn’t changed so much, has he?” 

Have we?

When Yoriko and Takeomi’s baby boy is 2-4 years old, he’s the cutest thing alive – light orange hair like his momma with big dark brown eyes and freckles. The only exception being he inherited his dad’s eyebrows.

– Those eyebrows dominate everything else. Takeomi loves it.

– When he is angry, those eyebrows become very scary. And by scary, I mean Yoriko and Takeomi have difficulty keeping a straight face. 

– Ichika and the Nakimiza brood quickly bond with the Yoritake boy.

– He loves bread. Bread. Bread. More bread.

– He wants to be a ghoul when he grows up. This has not sat well with Iwao, but Yoriko and Takeomi love it.

– But, like, his favorite people are Auntie Touka, a ghoul, and Uncle Urie, a quinx. How could he not want to be a ghoul? 

OHMY GOD I LOVE THAT AND NOW I NEED URIE BEING A GODFATHER TO TINY KUROIWA

Thank you dear!

– Urie is determined that he will be Fun. So Fun that the child will not want to leave with Takeomi.

– Urie often has fun arm wrestling with the kid. 

– And he’s been involved in more than one jungle gym escapade that ended in being chased by security for whosever playground he invaded.

– Urie melts inside when he first holds tiny Kuriowa. Like, he needs to sit down as the full force of emotion sweeps over him. 

– He likes showing off his kagune for the kid. Tiny Kuriowa loves it, too. They think he’s the coolest, and that’s just what Urie desires.

– Urie will NEVER admit it, but due to his constant indulgence of the kid, he’s starting to develop a sweet tooth.

Yoriko is having very bad moodswings and drastic different tastes and everyone but Yoriko and Takeomi realises she’s pregnant

“Ugh, I am so sorry, Takeomi!” Yoriko snatches the buttery croissant her husband is enjoying from his hands to throw it in the garbage. 

“Yoriko?” He blinks.

“It tastes awful. I’m so sorry. I’ll go make better ones.” Yoriko scowls. Tears prick her eyes. “I’ve never made a mistake like this before. All my customers are gonna leave!”

“Yoriko, sweetheart, it’s okay,” gasps Takeomi, taking her in his arms as she begins to cry.

“Well, I’m out.” Urie stands up quickly. 

“Just a second. Did you like your croissant?” Touka blocks the door and glares at him.

“Well, yeah.” Urie sighs. Comfort, eh? “Mine was good, Yoriko.”

“Really?” She brightens. 

“I liked mine!” Saiko pipes up. 

Yoriko frowns. “What’s wrong with me lately?”

“Do you think you should see a doctor?” Takeomi asks, suddenly nervous. “I’m sure you’re fine, Yoriko.”

Touka and Mutsuki exchange glances. 

“I don’t know!” She tears up again.

Kaneki notices his wife and the Quinx smirking at each other. And then at Touka’s large stomach. Oh – oh! 

Urie sees Kaneki’s excitement, and briskly waves his hand to shut his former boss, now friend, up. He sidles up to Takeomi and wraps an arm around his former rival. “So…been adventurous lately, eh?”

“Huh?” Takeomi blinks at Urie.

Urie can’t hide his smirk. 

“Why are you looking at me like that?” Takeomi is mildly frightened. 

“Looks like Yoriko’s already baking more buns for you,” Urie tries again.

“The oven’s cold…that’s why I was so upset,” says Yoriko, wiping her eyes. “It’ll take longer.”

Now Urie turns to Kaneki with a whimper.

“Yoriko…I think…” Kaneki stammers.

“You’re pregnant,” Touka finishes. “Probably.”

Takeomi falls to the floor.

“Catch him!” Yoriko cries.

“Oops, sorry.” Urie bends over to shake his dazed friend. “I think he’s okay.” 

“Urie…” Takeomi clutches him. “You have to be the godfather!” 

Yoriko is pregnant and the first person she tells is Touka when they meet up for the first time in years

“Touka.” Yoriko stands across from her best friend, each of their husbands by their side.

“Yoriko.” Touka tries to adorn the tough face she always wore in high school. 

“I missed you.” Yoriko wipes a tear.

“I missed you too!” Touka bursts out, throwing herself forward and embracing Yoriko. “I’m sorry, I’m sorry, I’m sorry – I just wanted to keep you safe.”

“I know. I’m sorry i never noticed – and forced you to eat – I thought you really liked my cooking,” Yoriko confesses.

“I mean, it was the most tolerable human food I’d ever eaten,” Touka promises. 

Yoriko snorts, but a smile emerges on her face.

“We watched your wedding,” Kaneki says lightly.

“From the hill overlooking the church. You were beautiful,” Touka confirms.

Yoriko claps her hands over her mouth. “Really? Oh, I wish you could have been my bridesmaid.”

“I wish you could have been mine,” Touka says, nodding to Kaneki.

Yoriko clears her throat. “Will you at least be my baby’s godmother?”  

“Yoriko!” Touka gasps. “Are you – you’re pregnant!”

Yoriko nods eagerly. Behind her, Takeomi blushes. 

“Congratulations,” Kaneki says weakly.

“Oh, come on.” Touka pokes Kaneki’s nose. “I’ll do it, Yoriko, if you’re our baby’s godmother.” 

“Seriously?” Yoriko shrieks. “Our kids will be best friends!” 

Touka hugs her again as Takeomi and Kaneki engage in a firm handshake. “Well, looks like we’ll have to be best friends, too,” Takeomi quips.

It’s like the collision of two suns!

“So you’re Touka-chan’s best friend.” Hide slides besides Yoriko. Across the room, Takeomi’s eyes narrow. 

Yoriko rolls her eyes at her husband before turning to Hide. “And you’re Kaneki’s. I’m so glad they’re married. I’ve been teasing her about them since I first saw him in her apartment!”

“I told him to date her the first time he took me to Anteiku!” Hide cackles, then sighs. “Unfortunately, he was interested in Rize at the time, and we all know how that one worked out.”

“Eh,” says Yoriko. “If he hadn’t become a ghoul, would he and Touka be happy right now?” She grins. “I hope you’re prepared for me being the crazy aunt.”

“I’m going to be the fun uncle. All the toys!” Hide rubs his hands together. 

He likes Yoriko. She hands him smiles and sunshine, and doesn’t flinch at his scars. They should have met and intervened for their friends years earlier. 

“That’s okay. Takeomi can be the boring, dependable one,” Yoriko jokes. “I’ll take the baby on adventures. And, somehow, I’ll find something they can eat and bake it for them.” 

“This sounds important,” Hide agrees. 

“Ooh, what do you like to eat?” Yoriko tilts her head. “See, I can’t help with fighting or anything. So I will feed you all in the meantime.”

Kirishima Touka – insecure, but has totally taken out a mirror to examine herself. For “biological studies.” 

Yoriko Kosaka – probably keeps everything nice and neat. 

Hinami Fueguchi – Ryoko had given her “the talk” not too long before she died, so every change in her body gives her some measure of sadness. 

Irimi Kaya – refers to it as her ‘doggy,’ not her kitty. 

Nishino Kimi – was insecure. Nishiki helped her embrace her beauty, as she helped him embrace his. 

Itori – probably has a piercing and/or another mole.

Eto Yoshimura – has joked that it looks like she killed someone in her pants at her time of the month. This horrifies Tatara and renders Noro even deader. But she pretty proud of her body at all stages of the month. 

Miza Kusakari – likes herself au natural.
