How will miza and the white suits react to naki’s death?

“Bro!” The white suits begin screaming in unison.

With a shriek, Miza knocks the remaining Oggai unconscious and leaps to his side. “Naki, Naki, please don’t go.”

He lies there, his suit and hair crimson, his eyes extinguished.

“No.” Miza’s voice rises. “I love you, Naki.”

She presses her lips against his split, bloodied ones.

“We all loved you.” Another white suit staggers over and drops to his knees. “We all loved you!”

“We still do.” Miza wipes her eyes. “I’ll keep fighting for you, Naki.”

“We’re all here because of him,” says a short, squat of the White Suits.

Miza smiles tentatively. “He’s with Gage and Gugi now. Probably learning more words and laughing at us.”

The ghoul holds out his arms. “You need a hug, big sis?”

Miza falls into a circle of embracing ghouls in blood-splattered suits. She’s finally found her family.

Naki’s not lost, not to her. He’ll always be in her life – in all of theirs. In Kaneki’s too.

Enjoy heaven, she prays, and somewhere, she knows he hears.
