uihai playing twister ;)

This is a fantastic idea

Ui is not sure how he got roped into this, but his head is facing the wrong direction and one leg is over one shoulder.

Hairu, probably. She wanted to join the Quinx’s party, and even though he was uncomfortable, he went for her.

Now they’re the last two Twister survivors, battling for victory.

Hairu laughs. She looks like a pretzel covered in rose petals.

“Ui. Your turn.” Saiko spins. “Left hand, green.”

Ui screams internally.

Saiko exchanges a smirk with Shirazu. Their plot to catch Inspector Bowl Cut in a state of disarray is working.

With a groan, he plants his left hand on the nearest green he can find. His muscles tremble, but he won’t give up.

“Koori, I’m in pain.” Hairu flutters her eyes at him.

“You can fall,” he grunts.

“There’s no love to spare in Twister.” Saiko rubs her hands together. “Hairu, right foot, yellow.”

“Yellow, like the sun.” Hairu smiles and barely manages to reach around Ui.

She finds face directly over his, which is perfectly positioned upwards. “Hello there.”

“Help me,” he whispers.

“Okay.” She kisses him.

Ui shrieks and falls, taking her with him.

“Hairu cheated. That means Ui is the winner.” Saiko would be upset, but Hairu kissed Ui, and that’s even better than her plan.

Ui sputters.

“She meant it,” all the Quinx yell simultaneously – even Urie, because Mutsuki made him.

Hairu flushes and smiles at Ui. He can’t quite believe it, but he kisses her back.

“Time for spin the bottle!” yells Saiko.

This has to happen. Kaneki and Hide finally reuniting, and Kaneki’s reaction to Hide’s silence and scars (I sense a lot of tears and hugs to come).

If we get anything less than an entire chapter of feels, I will rebel.

“Sasaki! Or should I say Kaneki?” Marude Itsuki, Washuu Matsuri, and Urie Kuki march into the 24th ward, alongside a ghoul Kaneki recognizes as Scarecrow.

After returning to find GOAT in chaos while Ayato and strange 24th ward inhabitants held his former colleagues hostage, Kaneki is not in the mood for more familiar faces. Or any, really, except Touka.

Because he almost lost her and their baby today.

“Is this your negotiation?” Tsukiyama looks amused. Hirako crosses his arms and glares at them.

Urie looks desperate, like a little kid reaching for his father. “No, I’m the one who insisted. Kaneki – you have no reason to believe us – but we’re on your side.”

Scarecrow shuffles forward.

“You know him as Hide,” Urie says.

Kaneki’s face pales, and Touka inhales sharply behind him.

“Why should we believe you? Can’t he speak for himself?” Tsukiyama steps in front of Kaneki. He does not want anyone upsetting his friend any more today.

“No,” Urie says. But Scarecrow is scribbling on a notepad and handing it forward.

Tsukiyama takes it and shows it to Kaneki.

Hi Kaneki

He recognizes this handwriting. Kaneki lets out a cry.

Touka grips her husband and guides him forward. “I swear if this is a trap, I’ll eat all of you.”

Marude likes her fire.

“I’ll help,” says Tsukiyama.

Urie swallows as his former leader’s eyes meet his.He remembers their last conversation. Now Mutsuki is held captive, and he failed to save him again.

Scarecrow squeezes Kaneki’s hand too hard, just like Hide used to.

He coughs and begins to untie his mask. Urie reaches over to help.

Kaneki can’t breathe. He still has his orange hair and one eye, but his nose is just nostrils, his mouth and jaw are consumed by scars, and he’s missing half an ear.

Still, he’s trying to smile.

Kaneki’s eyes fill with tears. “What happened?”

He remembers Touka behind him, and the child she carries. He needs to face the past to savers future.

“Did I do this?”

Hide scribbles on the paper. I told you to.

Kaneki shakes his head. “Hide, this – this is why -”

I’m so proud of you.

It may not be stylish, but live. Remember? Hide winks at Touka and writes more.

You made it stylish.

Kaneki cries harder. He’s too afraid to hug him, to afraid to ask for forgiveness, but no, he needs to face his fear. He reaches out.

Hide holds him tight. The Kaneki Ken he knew wouldn’t have reached out.

His friend is back, and they can survive together. Stylishly.

The Quinx adopt a cat.

Mwahahahahahahha. Again, here’s an AU where Shirazu is also 100% alive.

image

“Saiko, you can’t.” Hsaio hurries after her fellow Quinx.

“Watch me!” Saiko holds the cat closer to her chest. “Look how fluffy its cheeks are! Urie’s keeping it, whether he wants to or not.”

Hsaio sighs, but lets Saiko into the Chateau.

Higemaru must have super-senses, because he races downstairs before Saiko has even removed her shoes. “Meow! Meow! I love it!”

“We saw it fishing through garbage on our walk. It’s homeless,” Hsaio explains.

Higemaru shrieks with joy as Aura stumbles out of his room, a dazed expression on his face. “What are we all excited about?”

Saiko holds out the cat Lion-King style. “Look, San-chan!”

A vast array of possibilities open before Aura; reading with it purring on his lap, taking it fishing, having fur to bury his face in when he needs to cry.

For Saiko, the delight on her fellow Quinx’s face is enough reason to keep the creature.

Mutsuki and Shirazu hurry in.

“Oh!” squeaks Mucchan.

Shirazu wrestles it from Saiko. “Can I pat it?”

“You just stole it,” Saiko replies dryly.

“’Pat me.’” He imitates its voice and holds the creature out to Mutsuki, who swallows nervously.

His palms sweat. They don’t know, but he does, and he hates it.

Still, he pats the cat, and it purrs, like it doesn’t think he’s gross. Mutsuki’s eyes mist.

“What’s it’s name?”

“Not what Saiko wants,” Hsaio says sharply.

“Saiko wants it named Furruta Purruta,” says Saiko.

Higemaru bursts into laughter. “Perfect.”

Purrfect,” Shirazu corrects.

The Chateau door opens, and Urie Kuki strolls in. He freezes when he sees his entire squad gathered in the hall, holding a fat black cat.

“Meet Furruta Purruta,” Mutsuki jokes.

“I hate you all,” Urie says, but this time, he’s grinning.

*credit to @hamliet for the name*

The mutsurie anon is back :’) mucchan invites urie for dinner on his new house w the oggais and the children notice urie is not only just a former team mate

Mutsurie Nonny-Mouse is always welcome. 😀

“Why do I have to cook,” grumbles Hajime Hazuki.

“Because Urie used to be our Squad Leader, is a brilliant investigator, and we want to impress him.” Aura Shinsanpei pokes his shoulder.

“Don’t touch me,” grumbles Hajime.

“Am I doing well?” Mayazumi has been slicing up fish with more care than he usually slices up ghouls, and honestly he kinda prefers this.

“Yes,” Mutsuki assures him. In another life, he would have been a good parent. But there’s no chance of that now.

The doorbell rings, and Mutsuki squeaks. “He’s early!”

“He’s Urie,” Aura replies.

When Urie appears in the kitchen, Hajime is disappointed with how predictably stiff this First-Class Investigator is. But Mayazumi smells a chance for mischief.

“Hi.” Urie waves at the Oggai. He’s trying, for Mucchan. He just wishes he could have these kids with Mutsuki.

Mutsuki beams at him, longing for approval. “How was your day?”

That’s it? We’re really talking about our days? Urie clears his throat. “Fine. Another day of listening to the director’s shenanigans.”

“He does have a lot of crazy ideas,” Mutsuki admits. He worries what that means for Sensei.

Urie’s hand twitches, like he wants to take Mutsuki’s, and Mayazumi’s eyes narrow.

The kids serve them dinner and keep the conversation flowing at dinner, but every so often, they catch Urie staring at Mutsuki. Hell, even Aura notices.

It’s noticing that Aura has noticed that propels Hajime to open his mouth.

“Okay, what’s up with you two?”

“Huh?” Mutsuki frowns.

Urie’s face looks like a tomato.

“He’s making mooney-eyes over you,” sings another Oggai.

“He’s my friend!” mutters Urie.

“Sure, and Ihei Hairu was Ui Koori’s friend,” says Mayazumi sarcastically.

“Ar they always like this?” Urie turns to Mutsuki desperately. No, no, no, these kids aren’t blowing his secret.

“Uh.” Mutsuki is embarrassed by their behavior. Urie could never love him.

“Aura! I’m behaving normal, right?” Urie points down the table.

“If normal means moon-eyes at Mutsuki,” says Hajime.

“It does,” Aura confirms, clamoring to his feet. “Now, who wants dessert?”

Mutsuki stares at Urie, who’s covering his blushing cheeks – until two Oggai wrestle his hands away.

“Confess!” chirps Hajime.

“Wait – wait, do you really?” Mutsuki is scared. He likes Urie, and Urie knows he loves Sasaki.

Urie also makes him feel safe. Urie can be trusted, even more than Sasaki.

“Oh my god, they’re both blushing!” cheers Hajime. “Mucchan likes him too!”

The Oggai shove Mutsuki and Urie closer together. “Now kiss!”

“Can’t we talk first?” shrieks Mutsuki.

Urie looks frightened. He did not intend his secret to leak.

“How long?” Mutsuki dares to ask.

“The auction.” Urie surmises that lying is pointless. “I – I hope this doesn’t ruin anything; I would never upset you.”

Mutsuki feels as though a window has opened, a window he hadn’t seen before. Jumping in may not be wise, but he isn’t wise.

He wants Urie to kiss him, so he kisses him first.

The Quinx help Aura deal with his… issues.

Aura Shinsanpei has a secret: he hates himself.

He’s convinced he will never measure up. His aunt is freaking Aura Kiyoko, for crying out loud.

He doesn’t know how to interact with people. If he loves you, he worships you. If he hates you, he’s your worst nightmare. There is no grey for Aura, and he doesn’t understand tepid people.

He wants to be the heroes he reads about. He wants to be like Aunt Kiyoko.

“San-chan,” calls a voice, and he looks up to see Saiko waving at him.

“Oh. Hi.” He’s sitting on a bench outside CCG, musing on how he wants to disappear, but his tall body renders that impossible.

“Mind if I sit next to you?” She hops next to him without waiting for confirmation. “Mind if Higa and Hsaio do, too?”

Suddenly, Aura finds himself surrounded by Quinx. Even Urie is here, sitting awkwardly in the back with Mutsuki.

“We’re here to tell you we love you,” Saiko sings.

“Huh?”

She kisses his cheek, and Hsaio hugs him.

Higemaru leans his head on Aura’s shoulder. “You’re our friend, you know.”

“And admittedly your aunt sent us,” Hsaio says.

“But we would have come anyway! Just, later,” Saiko adds.

“We want you to know you’re okay,” says Urie.

Mutsuki doesn’t say anything. He’s not okay. Neither is Aura. But if Aura can be okay, that’s great, unless it keeps him from Sasaki – but if Aura is convinced not to kill Sasaki, that might be easier, too.

“I know I’m fine,” Aura insists, his cheeks pink.

“No, you don’t. You avoid us and live for your aunt. She wants you to live for you, and we want that, too.” Saiko pats his leg. “Come on. We’re all going out for ice cream, and I’ll show you how.”

Concept: Furuta makes a good life decision.

But then Tokyo Ghoul would never have happened.

Furuta doubled over, gasping for breath as soon as CCG was out of sight.

They want him dead.

They hate him.

Washuu.

He screams and pounds the wall. A mom and her kid cross the street lest they come near him.

Laugh, laugh – laughter is all he has, and yet right now, it’s not enough.

The Oggai are gonna get themselves killed for an ousted director. Tee-hee.

He’s been bested by V, and he knows it.

Wait. He texts Urie Kuki. Don’t you want to help Mutsuki?

His phone rings. Marude barks through the line. “The fuck are you thinking?”

Furuta giggles. “Just that Urie might want to stop the slaughter of his former mentor and his band of ghouls in the 24th ward.”

He gives them the location of all known ghouls and investigators.

This will fuck V straight up. They wanted this raid.

“We know you’re not doing this to help,” Marude snaps.

And he’s not. But maybe, just maybe, he still feels good about it.

mutsurie in which urie accidentally ends up going for a drink with mucchan :’) (btw i love your cute writings)

soutasnotebook:

Aw thank you Nonny-Mouse! I live and die by Mutsurie.

“I think we deserve a drink.” Urie stops Mutsuki on his way out of CCG. It’s been a few days since the wedding, and he’s still pissed at himself for not telling Mucchan how he feels.

And he’s not the only one. Saiko’s been glaring at him ever since, and Higemaru and Hsaio are starting to notice.

“Okay,” Mutsuki says uncertainly. “Just one, though.”

When they arrive at the bar, Urie chugs whiskey instead of talking. Mutsuki orders a gin and tonic and sips it. He wants to ask for something sweet, but he also feels like that isn’t masculine enough. He feels ridiculous.

“Let me order you another drink. I though you liked daiquiris? You seem like a daiquiri person.” Urie waves the bartender over.

“Huh?”

“How’s training the Oggai?” Urie orders a Long Island Iced tea, and Mutsuki is now concerned.

Is he drinking to avoid concern over Mutsuki? He shouldn’t be. Mutsuki feels anger rising, along with an alcohol-induced flush in his cheeks.

“I’ll be better than Sasaki. I won’t abandon them. I’m gonna be better.”

Urie’s sober enough to realize mistakes have been made, but not enough to stop them. But after three hours of Mutsuki ranting on Sasaki, and a few drunk texts with Saiko, Urie’s courage has rallied.

“Mucchan.” He interrupts his colleague with a grin.

“What?”

“I love you. I’ve loved you since the auction. You’re the sweetest man I know and I want to kiss you and marry you and live happily ever after with you.” Urie slams his glass down on the counter. It shatters.

“No more for you,” says the bartender in alarm.

Mutsuki leans forward. “I’m ugly. In my soul. I am grotesque.”

“You’re better than me.” Urie throws his arms around Mucchy. “Mut-shuki. Mucchy. Mucchan.”

“You don’t know.” Mutsuki begins crying. “You don’t know what I’ve done!”

“Then tell me!” Urie sweeps Mutsuki off his chair, into his arms.

Something warm explodes in Mutsuki’s heart. He feels safe and happy with Urie. Like Sasaki, but Urie really likes him. Urie didn’t abandon him.

And then Urie falls flat on his face, on top of Mutsuki, just as Saiko, Hsaio, Aura, and Higemaru arrive as reinforcements after Urie’s very strange messages.

Urie regains consciousness through the searing pain of a pounding headache. His room stinks. “Uh?”

“You’ve been vomiting half-unconscious for hours.” Mutsuki is holding him half-above the trash can.

“I said things to you.”

“You never let me finish.” Mutsuki’s massaging his neck. “Saiko will bring water, and when you’re ready I’ll start.”

@mikotofubar Here you go!

TW for discussions of sexual assault

Aura opens the door with to piling plates of fries and crispy chicken. “Saiko said to bring these to you.”

“Thanks,” mumbles Urie, taking the plate. He shovels fries into his mouth. “Dignity is overrated.”

“I’m scared.” Mutsuki looks at Aura. He’s too nauseated too eat. “Tell him…about the clowns.”

“Me?” Aura looks horrified.

“Please?” He can’t break Urie’s heart.

“He thought it was Sasaki.” Aura avoids Urie’s eyes.

“Thought what was Sasaki?”

“A kagune. It was transformed to look like him.” Aura is dead white now.

“I humped it. During battle.” Mutsuki doubles over. “When Aura found me, I was blinded by everything else and topless and … he really helped me.”

“Did he?” Urie glares at Aura. You told no one

“Bye!” Aura squeaks, shutting the door.

Urie hisses.

Mutsuki is now rocking back and forth, whimpering. “I killed Torso.”

“I know.” Urie’s heart breaks for the broken boy before him. “He deserved it.”

“He raped me. Like my dad raped me and like my dad, I killed him.” Mutsuki wails into his hands. “I am the killer! Remember the cat that was killed on campus at the academy? That was me!”

Urie blinks. “Mutsuki?”

“I’m sorry, I’m sorry, I’m so evil.” Mutsuki curls up in a ball besides Urie. “You don’t know me; I’m so evil!”

Urie struggles to reconcile the sweet, gentle boy he knows, the boy who hates blood, with a vicious killer. He can’t, until he realizes that they are the same, they’ve always been the same, for as long as he has known Mutsuki. And he loves them.

“Leave me before I kill you, too.” Mutsuki sobs.

“No!” Urie wraps his arms around Mutsuki, like Mucchan did for him as the auction. “I love you. I don’t care what you’ve done. You’re safe with me. I promise.”

Mutsuki hiccups, but he relaxes somewhat. He’s terrified of himself. “Don’t let me go.”

“Never again,” Urie promises, kissing the top of Mutsuki’s head. “You’ll always have me. I won’t leave. I just … I love you, Tooru. You don’t have to feel the same. I just want you to be happy.”

Mutsuki feels Urie’s strong arms around him, and wonders if maybe he does feel the same.

At any rate, with Urie, he does not feel grotesque.

The Quinx go to a club and drink a wee bit too much.

Dis fun.

Alternate Universe where Shirazu is totally 100% alive.

“Alrighty, everyone. Let’s go.”

“Go where?” Mutsuki looks up in surprise.

“Da club.” Shirazu’s hands are wrapped around Urie, and Saiko appears on Mutsuki’s left, Hsaio on his right.

“Uh.”

Aura is dragged forward by Higemaru. “We’ve been played,” he grumbles.

And so all seven Quinxes find themselves in a club with music so loud Mutsuki can feel it in his teeth.

The solution, as Higemaru assures him, is to drink.

Mutsuki then finds himself crying and babbling on about how inadequate he feels. He leans on Urie, who meanwhile has been drinking to muster the courage to confront Mutsuki. Or just survive the chaotic club atmosphere.

“You’re so handsome,” he finally manages to slur, and then Higemaru interrupts by dragging them both onto the dance floor.

Saiko pouts as Shirazu and Aura begin grinding on each other. “Men are dumb.”

“You’re not.” Hsaio drops her glass onto the floor. It shatters into what she finds a pretty pattern.

“I’m not a man.” Saiko thrusts out her chest.

“Neither am I.” Hsaio grins. “I’ve always wanted boobs like yours.”

“They hurt my back.”

“Can I touch them? Are they squishy?”

When Haise Sasaki arrives per a concerning call from Higemaru, he finds Hsaio and Saiko feeling each other up at the bar.

Urie is vomiting in a bathroom urinal as Mutsuki pats his head.

On the dance floor, Shirazu and Higemaru play patty-cake over Aura’s unconscious body.

He sends an image to Arima. Ui was right. We’re unethical. I quit.

Don’t leave me with this, Arima texts back. I’d rather be with ghouls.

Finally, Akira responds to them both. If you ever send me these images again, dear child, I’m sterilizing myself.

But consider all of the cast with lightsabers.

Oh my word

I’ve sorted the characters according to their introductory affiliation.

Anteiku/Re Affiliates

Kaneki Ken – After inheriting a very special bright red/Darth Maul two-sided saber from the fallen Rize Kamishiro, he finds himself hunted by the Dark Side.

Nagachika Hideyoshi – His is light blue, like Luke’s.

Yoshimura Kuzen – He’s long retired his purple lightsaber, except when he brings it out to clean up after his daughter, Darth Owl. It used to be his lover Ukina’s, from whom he learned how to wield it.

Kamishiro Rize – She was exceptionally skilled with her two-sided saber, but is currently saber-less.

Kirishima Touka – Hers is dark blue and she wields it well.

Koma Enji – Green.

Irimi Kaya – Green. This is why she and Koma first fought in the 20th ward, before Yoshimura convinced them there was room for two green sabers.

Yomo Renji – Darksaber all the way.

Kosaka Yoriko – Yellow-green, but she would rather not use it.

Hinami Feuguchi – Yellow, two-sided, and she possesses uncanny skill.

Nishiki Nishio – green and cracked.

Nishino Kimi – green (this is how she met Nishiki). He then cracked her crystal by accident, and learned the power of love by her forgiveness.

Tsukiyama Family

Tsukiyama Shuu – the gourmet’s is indigo to match his hair, and he adores it to the point that he talks to it. Still, he pines after Kaneki’s two-sided saber.

Karren von Rosewald – Servants weren’t supposed to have sabers, but Shuu bought her a rose pink one for her birthday one year. She’s loved him ever since.

Matsumae – the family bodyguard possesses a darksaber. It still thrills her every time she lights it.

Mirumo – passed down the indigo saber to Shuu.

Chie Hori – her tiny green saber was so delectable she and Shuu had to be friends.

Clowns

Uta – Darksaber, but with a cracked crystal. He and Yomo used to make a fierce darksaber team.

Itori – Hers is bright pink but rarely used, unless you’re counting when she gets drunk and waves it about Helter Skelter pretending she’s a Samurai.

Hoito Roma – She seemed to have an ordinary red saber. Instead she literally has a four-sided saber she uses for utter destruction.

Nimura Furuta – he started the series by pushing pipes onto Rize so he could steal her lightsaber, but now that Kaneki has inherited it, he hired Kanou to make a duplicate. Someday, though, he will get the real one.

Rio/Shikorae – is not trusted with one. Probably for the best.

Nico – pink but cracked.

Donato Porpora – Purple, cracked.

Aogiri Tree

Kirishima Ayato – dark blue, just like Touka. *pouts*

Yamori – Sabers cauterize wounds. That’s boring.

Tatara – Green – half of a two sided saber.

Yoshimura Eto – Darth Owl has a fierce purple lightsaber and exceptional skill.

Noro – Darksaber.

CCG

Amon Koutarou – Blue-white and pure.

Takizawa Seidou – blue, but he cracked the crystal while insisting he could make his own.

Mado Akira – green. She made her own, nice and neat.

Houji Kousuke- the second half of Tatara’s green saber is his. This is the root of their enmity.

Mado Kureo – His fascination with lightsabers has lead him to have a collection of every color, plus every cracked version. He was missing a green one before Akira made hers.

Marude Itsuki – It used to be yellow. Inspired by Yoshitoki, he also decorated the label. It did not turn out well, but thankfully, Juuzou Suzuya wrecked it.

Washuu Yoshitoki – yellow. He’s decorated the label.

Washuu Matsuri – spent half his childhood (literally half) whining for one. Now he has a yellow one and isn’t not as exciting as he hoped.

Washuu Tsuneyoshi – He wishes it was purple, but alas, his is yellow.

Kuriowa Takeomi – He got so good at beating ghouls up with his hands his dad was reluctant to hand down their family’s white saber.

Kuriowa Iwao – He used to have a white saber. Now he has an orange one, because he gave the white one to Takeomi.

Aura Kiyoko – Blue and damn does she use it well.

Tanakamaru Mougan – Pink. He loves the color.

Shinohara Yukinori – Green, “the color of life,” he used to remind Suzuya.

Hajime Hazuki – white. Someone take it away from him.

Arima Squad

Ihei Hairu – hers is lemon-colored, and she’s nicknamed it “Sunlight.”

Arima Kishou – His is ordinary light blue. But he can beat even the most powerful sabers with his technique.

Ui Koori – His is green. Sometimes Hairu tells him they’re lemons and limes, and he enjoys this.

Take Hirako – he ordered light blue to match Arima.

Ihei Shio – Pink. He and Yusa swapped colors.

Arima Yusa – white. He didn’t care for the color, but Shio really wanted pink.

Souza Rikai – purple, which she’s very proud of.

Suzuya Squad

Suzuya Juuzou – green and two-sided. He insisted on green to honor Shinohara.

Keijin Nakarai – Yellow to match his hair.

Hanbee Abara – Darksaber. He feels silly with it.

Miyuki Mikage – Green, like his boss.

Mizurou Tamaki – Orange

Quinx Squad

Yonebayashi Saiko – light blue, and she enjoys wielding it, because then she gets to pretend she’s someone from Feudal times.

Shirazu Ginshi – orange, cracked, and he loved it for its imperfections.

Urie Kuki – purple, but cracked, and the crack is growing bigger.

Mutsuki Tooru – green, and he’s determined to become as skilled as Kaneki.

Hsaio Ching-Li – dark saber. Beware her skill.

Aura Shinsanpei – his is dark blue, and he’s either way too fierce or too timid with it. There is no middle ground.

Higemaru Touma – pink, and he likes to light it up for no reason other than he enjoys the sound.
