Touka doesn’t beat up and berate Kaneki on bridge in og tg and instead is kind in her own way and welcomes him back to Anteiku

Warning for references to child abuse.

“Hey.” Touka hesitates at the foot of the bridge. Why didn’t you wait for me? Are you avoiding me? What is wrong with me?

“Hey.” Kaneki’s heart sinks. He’s afraid of her.

Because he cares.

“Why did you run off?” Touka bursts out. “Why? It’s like you didn’t care at all.”

“Of course I cared! I just…wanted to protect you all,” Kaneki whispered.

“I thought I was the one who protected you.” Touka swallowed. “Remember Kimi? Remember Mado? We were a team.” Her voice rose. “You say you’re doing this for us, but you’re not. You’re acting like my dad! You’re selfish; it’s all about you. You can’t stand to see us hurt, so you keep us at a distance. You’re hurting us and saying it’s for our own good.”

Kaneki sees his mother’s hand coming down on him. He starts and stumbles back.

“Why?” Touka sniffles. “Why can’t you let us love you?”

Kaneki feels frozen. Mommy, stop

Touka frowns. His eyes aren’t focused. “Kaneki?”

She grabs him and pleads. “Please come back to Anteiku with me.”

Kaneki can barely move in his flashback, but somehow he finds the strength to nod.

Touka tugs him along, and though he’s still half-dazed, he feels like he’s being led someplace safe.

A single mother ghoul who’s around 22-25 who had a miscarriage in her eighth month of pregnancy is visibly jealous of Touka. Touka confronts her about it and she breaks down. (name her if you want to or not, I just need something like this to happen :))

Ohhhh so sad!

Mai still remembers staring at those angry kids as they surrounded her. She didn’t take their threat seriously. Because they were babies, just like the one in her swollen stomach.

Now she’s fleeing with Kirishima Touka, and sees the young woman protecting her stomach from the Reaper’s knives.

I used that position, too.

Mai’s eyes fill with tears as she helps the Aogiri children down the hall.

She still remembers asking the Oggai if they were okay. Because she was stupid and nice.

Her strength has returned now. But she doesn’t want to use it, not even against the investigators, because that will be an acknowledgement that her baby died.

She still remembers doubling over as their kagunes pierced her stomach. She remembers screaming more in horror than pain, and the One-Eyed King swooping in to rescue her.

“Mai, can you bring up the rear?” Touka asks.

“Of course. I’m not important,” Mai snaps.

Touka looks shocked, and a bit furious. Mai feels some shame for her selfishness, but she should be close to giving birth now, not an expendable.

But for these kids, Mai falls back. She uses her koukaku to form a shield to block of the tunnel. The investigators who followed will certainly slice through it, but at least they’ll be slowed.

Babies killing babies. And Touka gets to have her child, but Mai doesn’t.

“What the hell is wrong with you?” Touka demands when Mai catches back up. “This is a moment I need to count on you!”

“I know your secret,” Mai growls. Shouts ring out down the tunnel. No, they can’t have cut through so fast. She halts.

“So?” Touka fires back.

“So…I want to be like you,” Mai cries. She knows this isn’t the time or place to fall apart, but she’s facing her child’s murderers and someone else has a living child and it fucking hurts!

Touka’s eyes widen. “I wish you were, too.”

Mai nods, sniffling.

She’s not mentally up to fighting these investigators. But if she can just slow them down…

“Please live. I need you to live,” Mai pleads, stepping back.

Touka hesitates. In the midst of their flight, she reaches out and hugs the other woman she barely knows.

And then she has to go.

And Mai waits for the investigators. She constructs another shield, but stays behind it. She’ll make sure no one hurts any more kids, born or unborn.

Can you do a cute fluffy fic about Touka styling her hair the way she did in the omake and Kaneki finds it adorable? Thanks!

“Kaneki,” Touka whispers.

“Mmm?” He rolls over. He had just drifted to sleep.

“My hair is the same as the Director’s.” Touka looks horrified. “I had a dream you couldn’t tell us apart!”

“What?!” Kaneki shrieks.

Touka turns around. Slowly, she lifts her hair and, with the angst of a thousand Kanekis, with the determination of a thousand Furutas, pulls it into a pineapple ponytail.

Kaneki’s eyes resemble saucers. “You look adorable, Touka-chan.”

“Do I?” She smiles and pats the ponytail.

“Yes.” He sits upright to tug on it. “I love it.”

Touka beams at him. “Why don’t you show me how much, hmm?”

When they leave their room the next morning, Nishiki yells. “Why the fuck are you growing a pineapple as well as a baby, Touka?”

“I like it.” Kaneki draws Touka closer to him.

“Oh, sure, trust the white-haired kid’s fashion sense,” grumbles Nishiki.

Touka waves the Aogiri kids over.

“Oh no,” says Nishiki.

A tsunami of children tackle him. His glasses are removed, and he can feel them styling his hair. “Touka! Get back here! I take it back! TOUKA!”

Would you be able to write something about Roma finding and getting Rio to safety, and taking him to somewhere for comfort, possibly even recognizing him from Cochlea, which stems into her wanting to protect him like a sibling?

Yasss, thank you, Nonny-Mouse.

“Rio?” Roma stares at the malformed ghoul writhing on the ground. It growls and snaps its jaws at her. Like a dog.

Her stomach turns. She remembers his innocent sniffles in Cochlea, the sugar-sweet requests to see his dead brother.

“Rio, it’s okay. I’ll be your sister.”

The kid stops to frown at her. “Huh?”

“I’ll be like your big sister, okay?” Roma offers her hand to him. “I have a place that can help us.”

“I want brother.” He begins to cry.

“I want a brother, too,” Roma says, approaching cautiously. He’ll be fun, for sure. “Will you be my brother?”

Rio nods eagerly.

“Good.” Roma guides him away from the frenzied fight surrounding them.

Nishiki opens the door to Re. “What the fuck?”

“This is Rio. You may or may not remember him.”

“I remember.” Touka hurries forward. She gasps when she sees his face.

“Can you give him something to eat and a bed?” Roma crosses her arms.

“She’s my big sister.” Rio points at Roma, who smiles back.

“I won’t leave you, Rio.”

Nishiki scowls. He suspects Roma is doing this on purpose to gain access to Re. But still, this ghoul looks so pathetic, they can’t really turn away.

“Sshhh, you’re safe here.” Roma rubs Rio’s shoulders as the manager guides him upstairs.

Classroom shenanigans with Black Reaper Kaneki as the teacher. Possible students being Touka, Takizawa, Kurona, Amon, Akira, Juuzou, and Quinx kids! (Bonus points for involving Principle Eto!)

“Juuzou, you can’t eat candy in class.” Reaperneki raps on Suuzya’s desk.

Suzuya stares up at him with horror. The lollipop remains in his mouth.  “But why?”

“Because it’s disruptive.”

“Not if you do it the right way.” Saiko pops a chocolate square into her mouth. “Just be quick about it, Suzuya.”

“Yonebayashi, do you want to go to the principle’s office?”

She thinks for a moment. “Principle Eto does have a nice couch.”

“Can I go to the principle’s office?” Urie raises his hand. “I’m tired of all your faces.”

Mutsuki frowns.

“Not yours,” Urie assures him.

“Awwwwww,” Shirazu teases.

“All of you: SILENCE!” Reaperneki shouts. “Now, Amon, tell me your initial thoughts on Egg of the Black Goat.”

Amon looks up, guilt plastered over his face like the donut crumbs on his lips.

“Are you fucking kidding me,” growls Reaperneki.

“I got him the donut; it’s my fault.” Akira rolls her eyes. “You know, it’s not the food that makes us inefficient; it’s you.”

Reaperneki seethes. “Aura?”

“I was too busy visiting my sick aunt to do the reading,” he replies sweetly.

Higemaru raises his hand. “I loved it!”

“I found the wording fascinating,” Hsaio adds.

“I couldn’t be bothered to read it.” Ayato yawns.

“Feet off your desk, Kirishima.”

“Which one?” Ayato grins as Hinami gently pushes his feet back to the floor.

“Teacher, you’re kinda weak at teaching literature,” Touka comments.

“You’re weak at literature,” Reaperneki counters.

“You’re weak, period,” she shoots back.

Takizawa passes a note to Kurona.

“Really? At this point, you could just talk,” says Reaperneki.

“Can I talk about how attractive you are, Teach?” whimpers Tsukiyama.

“THAT’S IT! ALL OF YOU! I AM ESCORTING ALL OF YOUR SORRY ASSES TO THE PRINCIPAL’S OFFICE!” Reaperneki roars.

When they arrive, Eto blinks. “You got the entire class here? I’m so impressed.”

Reaperneki growls.

Can you do a touken AU/scenario based on the vocaloid music “feathers across the seasons”? I really love your writing!

Aw thank you! And thank you for introducing me to the song – I’m now a proper crying mess.

“It’s so peaceful outside.” Kaneki watches the snowflakes drift to the frozen earth.

Touka pulls him closer to their crackling fire. “This evening reminds me of the day we met.”

Kaneki blushes. “I remember.”

Do you have room? A beautiful woman with ukaku wings appears before him. CCG is hunting me.

So he lets her in, and since then she’s never left his side.

They snuggle together for warmth that night, and Kaneki thinks himself the luckiest man in the world.

Touka awakens to the first signs of spring.

“The birds sound like you. So beautiful.” Kaneki murmurs, pulling her closer.

Touka kisses him. He’s radiant in the morning light.

In the heat of summer,  Touka toils in the vegetable garden they planted. They can’t eat what they grow, but someone can, and Touka likes that. And growing something happy warms her heart.

A crash from behind her catches her attention. “Kaneki?”

As autumn comes, Kaneki has not improved.

“He’s aging at a frightening pace,” says their friend Nishiki.

Touka shakes her head. “Don’t worry – Kaneki. I’ll save you.”

She sells vegetable after vegetable and pounds ukaku shards into jewelry. She will find a way into CCG, to save Kaneki.

Kaneki pulls himself upright. “Touka, your hands…they’re so beautiful.”

“Would you love them if they weren’t beautiful anymore?” Touka asks. All she wants is to hear and hold his unconditional love.

“Of course.” Kaneki holds her hands in his, but he’s soon racked by a cough.

Touka comes home one day, one day when she almost has enough to bribe a CCG doctor, to see Nishiki standing at her door.

“Where’s Kaneki?”

Touka sobs by an empty gravesite. CCG had already taken the body by the time she arrived, but she’s constructed a memorial nonetheless.

“If, one day, I was no longer mistakable for a human, would you still love me?” she asks, dropping an ukaku shard into the moist earth.

“Of course I will. I will always…remember that snowy day.”

Touka turns around with a gasp to see a dragon standing behind her.

“Even now, I still love you.”

She breaks into happy tears. “And I love you.”

Kaneki has always wanted a dog, but between his abusive mother, neglectful aunt and everything concerning his Ghoul life, that childhood desire never came true. He gets the surprise of his life when his family presents him with a new Akita puppy (maybe named Hachiko, after the infamous dog). (I blame the puppy videos on YouTube and the movie Hachi, for this one 😝)

“Touka, are you okay?” Kaneki enters their apartment to see her doubled over, pressed against the door to their bedroom.

“She’s fine,” Ayato calls. Hinami clutches his shoulder and giggles.

“All set!” Touka calls.

“Oof,” Kaneki hears Yomo grunt from behind the door. It opens and out spill the Quinx, Tsukiyama, Nishiki and Kimi, Akira and Amon, and…an Akita puppy.

Kaneki’s mouth falls open as the puppy quivers with excitement. It yips and scampers closer to him.

“We’ve named it Hachiko. You don’t get a choice,” Saiko calls.

Kaneki laughs. He stretched out his hand so the puppy can sniff him. “Better our dog than our kid.”

“Don’t worry. Mutsuki and I made a list of names,” Touka assures him.

Kaneki gulps.

The puppy tackles him.

“It’s so lovable!” Kaneki cries. “I – oh my gosh, Touka, I love it!”

“Take care of it well, Kaneki,” says Akira. She grins. “Maris Stella won’t like you anymore.”

“She better like Hachiko. He’s the best,” Touka declares.

Kaneki looks up at her with tears in his eyes. When he confessed his lifelong dream a week ago, in the middle of the night, he hadn’t expected anything other than a hug.

“Now that we can live freely, I figure we might as well make the most of it,” explains Touka.

Kaneki smiles. “I love you.”

Kaneki meets Oneshot!Kaneki and discover they have as much in common as they do in differences.

“What do you mean, you like eating people?” Kaneki stares horrified at his mirror image.

“I eat people only when I have to. But I do have to,” says Oneshot! Kaneki. “So do you.”

Kaneki growls. “I just eat ghouls.”

“That’s noble, but it won’t work for long, you know. Not without becoming a kakuja.” Oneshot! Kaneki licks his lips. “Should I be worried about you eating me?”

“No,” Kaneki says softly. “If I could live without eating, I wouldn’t eat at all.”

“So would all of us, don’t you think?” Oneshot!Kaneki tilts his head. “Heard you and Touka finally married.”

“Touka? You know Touka?” Kaneki brightens.

Oneshot! laughs. “I know a Touka. She’s a great partner. We defeated many investigators together. Though her temper and appetite are hard to control.”

“The temper’s easier now. She doesn’t have much an appetite that I know of.” Kaneki shrugs. “You love her, don’t you?”

Oneshot! grins. “Of course.”

“Guess that’s something we have in common.” Kaneki smiles dreamily at his counterpart, and both lose themselves to thoughts of their respect Toukas.

(Part of the dream verse) Kaneki saves his aunt from ghouls, and his family expresses their feelings towards the woman who treated him like scum for most of his life (include any one you want, though I would love if Mutsuki, Touka and Akira were among them. Enjoy yourself and express your own distaste for his aunt. Be evil if you must 😈)

“Do we have to rescue her?” grumbles Touka. “She doesn’t deserve her nephew or her grand-nephew-or-neice.”

“Touka, I can’t…I can’t be like her. I can’t abandon her. You know?” Kaneki swallows.

Touka sighs. “I know. I’m proud of you. I’m just…horrified you suffered like that.”

“All in place.” Mutsuki radios from where he and the Quinx have positioned themselves on his aunt’s roof.

“Thanks.” Kaneki clears his throat. “Akira, go for it.”

“Yes, your majesty.” Akira draws her quinque, and Amon uses his kakuja to bust down the door. “CCG!”

There’s a scream.

“Quinx, go!” Touka barks into their radio.

Urie and Hsaio use their koukakus to plunge through the roof. Aura flies forward on his ukaku to grab Kaneki’s aunt as the rest of the squad plunge Rc suppressants into the ravenous ghouls.

“No bloodshed, Maman.” Saiko clicks the radio.

When Kaneki approaches his blubbering aunt, he hears the familiar sound of her rage.

“Don’t touch me, you scum!”

“We just saved your life,” Higemaru says.

“I don’t like you,” adds Urie.

Mutsuki claps his hans to his cheeks. “Why were you so mean to your nephew?!”

“Nephew? Those – those beasts – they blamed him for this,” seethes his aunt. “Where is he?”

“He’s here,” Touka announces, slipping her hand in Kaneki’s. “Hi, I’m his wife.”

His aunt scowls at her belly. “I should have expected that of him.”

“Why are you so mean?” Mutsuki cries.

“Don’t you know all he needed was a mother? And you denied him that.” Akira’s eyes flash. Amon holds her back.

Kaneki swallows. “I don’t forgive you. Not yet.”

“I don’t want your forgiveness!” cries his aunt.

“I just don’t hate you enough to want you to die. I suppose we’ll both have to live with that.” Kaneki continues on, as if he hasn’t heard her.

“We’ll take care of the ghouls. Go reunite with the family you haven’t abused,” Mutsuki says coldly.

Kaneki feels a chill settle over him as Akira, Amon, the Quinx, and Touka surround him. “I have a family, Aunt. I’m sorry you can’t be part of it.”
