Itori visiting :re and having a talk with Touka and Yomo!

Itori is my vodka aunt and I love asks about her!

“Yomoooooo, darling.” Itori waltzes into :re to plop onto a stool before the counter.

“Itori?” Yomo is taciturn as always.

“What’s got you in such a crabby mood?”

“I’ve barley said anything.”

“I can still tell.” Itori reaches out to poke Yomo’s nose.

“He’s mad that Uta did the auction,” Touka calls.

“Oh, is that so?” Itori flutters her lashes. “Can’t abide our friend’s dark deeds, can we?”

“Of course I can.” Yomo turns his attention back to the coffee.

“Hey, I’m a paying customer. Feed me coffee.” Itori pouts. “And pay attention o me.”

“As if we could do anything else.” Touka hands Itori a cup.

She sips it with a sigh. “Your coffee really does taste like Yoshimura’s, Touka-chan.”

Touka looks sad.

“I meant it as a compliment. He lives on through you, in a way. Like Uta lives in Yomo, even though he’s still alive.” Itori frowns. “I was going somewhere with that.”

Touka has to laugh. “Of course you were.”

“I hope my presence doesn’t bother you.”

“No, I find you entertaining.” Touka doesn’t trust Itori, but she likes her.

Yomo, meanwhile, trusts her untrustworthiness. And he knows he’d do anything for her, and she for him. Clowns or no, he can’t betray his friends.

Yoshimura understood, but that doesn’t make it easier.

“Earth to Ren.” Itori snaps her fingers in front of his eyes. “Pay me more attention.”

“We know you wouldn’t have it any other way,” he says dryly. And neither would they.

Ayato coming back and finding the base destroyed, many of goat dead, Miza tending to a “sleeping” Naki and his sister, Hinami, Tsukiyama and the half-hassed bastard missing.

Ayato smells the blood before he emerges from the underground. He hears the army of ghouls murmur behind him. He hears a sob.

“Miza?”

Ayato stops short.

Children – the Oggai – dead. The white suits are now bloodstained. And Miza sobs at Naki’s side.

He’s dead. Ayato’s stomach rolls. “Miza, where is Touka? Hina?”

“Yomo sent them on.” Miza wipes her eyes. “Who – who are these people?”

“The people we’re fighting for,” Ayato says grimly. “Looks like we’re having a battle sooner than expected.”

He sounds calm, but inwardly – Touka! Hinami! And that half-assed bastard. Where are they? Uncle Yomo?

Up ahead, he sees two CCG investigators moaning on the ground.

“Bind them,” Ayato orders. He’ll tend to them later.

Further still, he sees a stumbling figure in a torn trench coat. “Yomo!”

The Raven’s eyes widen. “Ayato.”

He rushes towards his uncle. “Where are the others?”

“Follow me,” Yomo says firmly. He immediately slouches over, and Miza props him up.

“Lean on me.”

More wails come from around the corner. Arima Yusa is punching Hirako Take over and over and over in his shoulders.

“Take!” Yomo gasps.

“Where’s Shio and Rikai?” Miza asks with dread.

Hirako turns his bloodshot eyes to Yomo. “I couldn’t save them. They – ”

He breaks down in tears, and Ayato snaps his fingers.

“We have to keep moving. Bring them along,” he orders. Two more ghouls pick up Hirako and Yusa.

A distinctly human smell comes from tunnel 14.

Many investigators.

Ayato motions for the wounded to stay behind. “Miza, watch over them.”

She nods, and he prepares to attack. No one is hurting Touka and Hinami. He can’t even imagine them dying yet.

“Charge!”

Ayato flies forward on his ukaku.

Touka meets his eyes. HInami is with her, and the Aogiri children – surrounded by CCG agents.

“Back the fuck off!” Ayato screams. If he’d been a second later, they’d have killed his sister and – and her, his butterfly.

A little investigator, that tiny Arima, turns around to face him.

Suddenly, Ayato screams.

That’s Arata’s kakuja.

“Dad!” screams Touka, firing Rc shards towards the investigator.

The investigator tries to move, but the armor locks.

“You bastard!” Ayato feels himself crying, but he sends the investigator head over heels towards Touka.

Touka hurls his quinque across the tunnel.

“The only reason I’m keeping you alive is that Kaneki loves you,” she hisses. Suzuya looks horrified.

“Speaking of Ken, where is the half-assed bastard?” snarls Ayato. Most of the investigators have surrendered, and those who haven’t have been killed. Kaneki won’t like it, but this is fucking war.

And that armor hurts him.

“He saved me and got caught up ahead,” Hinami cries.

“You won’t win!” Ayato yells at Suzuya before grabbing Hina by the hand. “Everyone who’s not guarding the prisoners, with me!”

“This way!” Hinami leads Ayato down the tunnel, treasuring every second by his side.

Rewrite of Touka/Kaneki wedding scene with Kaneki and Mutsuki get happily married instead of Touka and Kaneki

“Do you think there are too many flowers?” Urie Kuki asks, squinting at the venue.

“What blasphemy did I just hear? There are never too many flowers!” Tsukiyama Shuu gasps from behind a pillar of roses.

“The cake is all set.” Yonebayashi Saiko skips in.

“Mutsuki’s gonna faint.” Nishiki Nishio laughs.

“Bets on who faints first.” Kirishima Ayato shouts. “I bet Kaneki!”

“Kaneki’s stronger than that now,” Touka informs her brother. She uses her ukaku to fly up to the top of the church to arrange a wreath of orchids.

“Put me down as Kaneki,” Aura Shinsanpei says sheepishly. Ayato nods with approval.

But as luck would have it, when Mutsuki appears down the aisle with Arima at his side, Kaneki’s knees do buckle. Ayato and Aura slap high-fives in the midst of the ceremony.

“This is so extravagant,” Mutsuki admits to Kaneki during their reception. “I had no idea you had such a lavish friend.”

“Neither did I for a while,” Kaneki admits. He reaches for Mutsuki’s hand. “Are you happy?”

“Very.” Mutsuki feels warm and secure and safe.

“Good.” Kaneki kisses him.

“Give back my glasses!”

Their attention immediately turns to the dance floor, where a very merry Yomo is prancing about with Nishiki’s spectacles.

Mutsuki laughs. He already loves all of his husband’s wild, crazy friends.

“If you keep going forward, you will lose your life.” The masked man stares at his former lover.

“I don’t have a choice.” Yomo Renji forces his way forward. He doesn’t expect Uta to help. Why would he?

Uta’s almost hurt by Yomo’s lack of acknowledgment. Accuse me, fight me, do something.

But Yomo moves on, towards his family.

Uta watches. This is why he can’t live with Yomo.

But he still wants Yomo to live.

————————————————-

Yomo expects the screams and clashes of battle ahead, but he does not expect the laughter.

He rounds the corner to see Hajime Hazuki, that Oggai, and several deranged investigators slashing at Hirako and the Zero Squad children. Only a few yards beyond, Touka stands with terrified children. Hinami is nowhere in sight.

She can’t be dead. Yomo draws himself up.

He sees Itori and Nico peering around another corner. Yomo’s fears rise.

“Hahahaha!” CCG’s laughing Director appears with a squadron behind him. “Oh, No-Face, just in time!”

The lead investigator – the little Arima – opens his mouth, and Yomo turns to scowl at Uta – just as a massive kagune rips through the walls.

A chunk of the tunnel hurtled downward – and Touka screams Yomo’s name – then Uta watches his friend crushed under Dragon.

The world echoes around him. Uta warned Renji. He was a good friend.

A good friend who just watched his best friend die.

Uta staggers against the wall. He knew this would come.

“Everyone, meet the dragon!” Furuta spreads his arms wide. “It’s a living quinque made from all the Washuus!”

“Washuus?” asks the little Arima, his eyes wide.

Touka lunges for the investigators. “You bastards!”

Uta notes her stomach is rounder. So Yomo was about to be a great-uncle.

But now he’s dead.

And he got Renji killed.

Uta can’t take anymore. He marches straight through the battle for Furuta. “You.”

“I?”

“Give me the medication.” Uta doesn’t care. He’s bringing Yomo back from the dead. Fuck it.

“Hmm, the most powerful clown fighting the most powerful kagune dragon? Is there a downside to this?” Furuta taps his chin.

“Fighting?”

“See, your raven’s swimming with a new crowd these days.” Furuta drapes an arm around the ghoul and points towards Yomo, whose body is being absorbed by dragon. Several screaming investigators meld with the kagune.

“Not a chance!” Uta flies towards the dragon.

“You’ll be dead before you defeat him!” Furuta calls cheerfully.

Uta dives into the rubble and struggles towards Yomo. He can feel himself being absorbed – slowly – and the farther in her goes, the weaker he feels.

Good. Because Uta knows something Furuta doesn’t.

Suddenly, CCG, GOAT, and Oggai alike watch four kagune types spring from Uta’s back. Each tattoo swirls open to form a kakuja. His eyes glow, and he easily cuts through the kagune to rescue Yomo.

“H – h – how?” Furuta stammers. “You’d have to be – have to be -”

“A Washuu.” Uta turns around to face Furuta. “I’m your original One-Eyed King. Your struggle is over, son.”

He snatches Kanou’s wretched medicine and pours it into Yomo’s mouth. “Come on, swallow.”

“Uncle Yomo.” Touka rushes to his side.

Suddenly, Yomo gasps and spits up directly into Uta’s face. Which Touka thinks he deserves.

“Remember, I can’t live without you,” Uta whispers.

“What are you?” Yomo is amazed. He can feel his limbs. He feels better than he has in ages.

He feels Uta’s love.

(based on one of @midnight-in-town‘s Uta theories).

Could you do something for Urie confronting Haise about cochlea, Arima, and Mutsuki dying (?) because of him.

In the words of our great lord Hideyoshi Nagachika: it may not be stylish, Mutsuki, but live.

“You – you!” Urie splutters. All he can manage is rage. “Sasaki Haise, Kaneki Ken, Centipede, whatever your fucking name is!”

He marches forward and punches Kaneki straight in the nose.

“That seems violent.” Serpent watches curiously.

“You left us! You left Mutsuki – don’t you remember asking me to save him? It was the last thing you fucking said to me! And now he might die thanks to your Raven over here!” Urie flips off Yomo, who winces.

“In Yomo’s defense, Mutsuki was overly fond of knives,” Kirishima Touka snaps.

“Shut up, Rabbit.” Urie whirls back to Sasaki. Kaneki. Sasakaneki. “You killed Arima. You loved Arima. What the fuck?!”

Sasakaneki (Urie feels quite clever for the name) bows his head.

“Are you not going to answer?” screams Urie. “We need answers!”

“I know!” Sasakaneki raises his head to reveal tears in his eyes. “I know! God, what can I say -”

“You can start with ‘I didn’t kill Arima Kishou,’” suggests Hirako Take.

Urie does a double-take. “What?”

Kaneki swallows. “No – I did.”

Hirako shakes his head. “He wanted you to, but I saw. He killed himself and should have never asked you to pretend you did. You’re not betraying him if you tell the truth.”

 Kaneki swallows.

“Why?” Urie is thoroughly confused.

“There was a ghoul family running CCG,” Kaneki says.

“I know.”

“Arima was one of Demon Tsuneyoshi’s offspring,” says Itsuki Marude.

“He joined with Eto Yoshimura to take down the world,” Kaneki says. His voice wobbles. “And gave me his inheritance: the One-Eyed King.”

“Okay, first Arima killed himself, then he’s a ghoul, now he’s the One-Eyed King?” Urie growls.

“Yes. He was all of those, and my friend.” Kaneki shivers. “I miss him.”

“Did you miss us?”

“Of course I did!” Kaneki cries out, and Urie, for once, believes him.

“You hurt us all.” Urie shakes his head. “You can’t be a king if you lie to your people.”

“Then join GOAT and be an advisor,” Tsukiyama Shuu, that rotten Gourmet, finally sees a chance to speak. “It’s lonely doing it all by myself.”

“All by yourself?” Touka barks. “Excuse you?!”

Urie looks around this crazy, dysfunctional family that reminds him so much of the Chateau, yet he doesn’t belong here.

Kaneki places a hand on his shoulder. Urie remembers framing out. Maybe he does belong, after all.

He’s not ready to hug his leader, but he is willing to learn. “Tell me everything.”

But guys what about Rize? I nominate Les Poissons.

Uta asks Yomo “are you a virgin?”

soutasnotebook:

This is the best.

“Ha.” Uta tosses an eyeball into the air and catches it in his mouth. “So juicy.”

Yomo frowns, but says nothing.

“Ever so stoic.” Uta tilts his head. They’ve been trying out friendship for the last few months, and he’s already bored. "Sometimes I think you don’t even need a mask.”

Yomo rolls his eyes. “You couldn’t bear it if I died.”

“That’s true,” Uta admits, sitting on his desk. “Is that all we are, though? Acquaintances who hope the other don’t die?”

“It’s called friendship, Uta.” Yomo blushes.

“Your face is red. Hell, you really are emotionally constipated.” Uta snickers. “Are you a virgin?”

Yomo splutters. He steps back to collide with the wall. “Don’t ask people that.”

“I just did.” Uta narrows his eyes. “I can’t tell with you, though, Renji.”

“We all know you aren’t.”

Uta gasps. “Are you calling me a tramp?”

“You broke many men’s hearts last year.”

“But not yours.” Uta bestows his special puppy eyes upon Renji.

“I’m confident you can.” Yomo shrugs.

Uta sidles up to him and runs a hand down his friend’s arm. He can feel Yomo stiffen under that stupid coat. “So you are a virgin.”

“No,” Yomo mutters, his face a brilliant red.

“No?” Uta gasps. “Who is she?”

“He and I was drunk at the time. Sorry I don’t have details.” Yomo tries to brush past Uta, but his friend grabs him by the arm.

“Want practice?” Uta puckers his lips.

“Are you seducing me?”

“You’re not very romantic, are you?” Uta grins. “Oh well. Kiss me, Renji.”

Yomo glances around the shop. No one around. This isn’t a joke.

He kisses Uta.

@hamliet

“Thank you,” Uta murmurs. “You sure you don’t want to kiss me again?”

“Stop teasing,” Yomo says gruffly.

“I want to make love to you. Sober.” Uta crosses his arms. “What do you want?”

Yomo looks at the floor. Of course he wants to. But – should they?

“I promise not to wear a mask.”

Yomo breaks into laughter. “Sometimes I still hate you.” And then he kisses Uta again, and Uta is leading him upstairs, to his flat.

Uta slowly undoes Yomo’s coat buttons as Yomo caresses his hair.

Uta can’t resist nibbling Yomo’s chest, and Yomo has to laugh again. “I should have guessed you don’t take this seriously.”

“I take everything too seriously to never sprinkle in some fun.” Uta’s eyes widen. “Wanna pull off my shirt?”

When they’re both fully undressed, they stroke every inch of each other’s bodies.

“You’re so strong,” Uta whispers. Yomo is still red, like a virgin, but he looks happy for once. “I can’t live without you.”

“Stop the fatalism.” Yomo shakes his head.

“Sounds good.” Uta rolls on top of Yomo and asks quietly, “Are you ready?”

Yomo nods.

“I’ll let you do me later.” Uta winks. His bed shakes beneath their rhythm, and he keeps whispering Renji’s name.

“How long have you wanted this?” Uta asked when they lie side-by-side, panting.

“Since I realized you liked me. Last month,” Yomo mutters, still painfully shy. “You?”

“Since I realized I’m not lonely when I’m with you.”

Uta asks Yomo “are you a virgin?”

This is the best.

“Ha.” Uta tosses an eyeball into the air and catches it in his mouth. “So juicy.”

Yomo frowns, but says nothing.

He kisses Uta.

Koma and Irimi realize they want to be more than friends? xd

Oh my goodness I LOVE these two! You cannot convince me they aren’t lovers.

Koma Enji was accustomed to glaring at the black dog woman every shift at Anteiku.

He was not, however, accustomed to flutters in his stomach. But as the months wear on, he begins to harbor his crush as his own silly secret.

She’s his enemy. Well, a truced enemy, but an enemy all the same.

Irimi Kaya turns around after feeling Koma’s eyes on her again. Damn Ape. Can’t he be forward in something that matters for once?

“Oh no!” A customer trips, and Irimi’s blouse is covered in coffee.

“I’m sorry!”

“It’s okay,” Irimi says without anger.

Koma doesn’t think much of it until he finds her scrubbing the shirt – which she is still wearing – later that evening.

“You’ll never get the stains out that way.” He tries to joke. If they’re going to be coworkers, they better be able to joke.

His stomach flutters again.

“What’s it to you?”

“I know a trick.” Koma scrummages through their supplies. “Aha. White vinegar.”

“Really?” Irimi frowns.

“Yup. Works every time.” He smiles proudly. “I spill coffee all the time.”

“I’ve noticed,” she says dryly. Humbled by his kindness, she continues. “I’m used to cleaning out bloodstains, not coffee stains.”

“To be honest, I just burned my bloody clothes.”

“No wonder you’re poor.” Irimi shakes her head, but she’s smiling.

Half an hour later, she feels it’s now acceptable to be an open Devil Ape fan. “You’re a lifesaver. I can’t believe that worked. The stain is gone!”

If only they can remove the stain of their misdeeds. Koma recognizes the same heaviness in her eyes.

“Do you think we deserve a clean slate?”

“Old man Yoshimura does,” Koma replies.

“But do we?” she presses.

“I didn’t even want one.”

“Me neither.” Irimi stares at the ground. “But I rather like it.”

“Me too.” Koma realizes that he rather likes her, too.

“You look like you want to kiss me.” Irimi arches an eyebrow.

“May I?” Darn it, no, he shouldn’t – but this woman is thoughtful and kind and patient –

She laughs. “Who’d have thought?”

And then she kisses him.

Upstairs, Yoshimura smiles and holds out his hand. Knowing he’s beat, Yomo forks over the money.

Ayato and Hinami get lost together in the 24th ward and Touka (who is there and safe and it’s all FINE) and Kaneki worry until they eventually find their way home.

Wait, everything’s totally fine, what are you talking about? O_O

Hinami doesn’t want to ask if Ayato knows where he’s going, but as the minutes tick by, her silence is become more awkward than the question would be. They pass tunnel after tunnel, some fallen down, and she can’t sense any humans or ghouls around.

“Um, Ayato…”

He spins around, eyes huge. He has to say it before she judges him! “I’m lost.”

“I know,” she says with a nervous laugh.

“I’m sorry. I’m a loser.” Ayato kicks the crumbling tunnel wall.

“No, you’re not!” Hinami gasps. She grabs Ayato’s hands. “I wanted to take a walk with you; it’ll just be a little longer than we both anticipated.”

Ayato smiles at her. She always knows how to keep him calm. Hinami is a treasure.

“Wait, wasn’t I supposed to teach you dancing at some point? We can find out way back here.” HInami claps her hands. “Unless you never meant to actually learn.”

“What do you mean; of course I want to.” Ayato coughs, and Hinami shakes her head at him.

She tugs him just a bit closer, and suddenly his heart races. He wants to say something clever, but only comes out stammering.

————————————————————————————-

“Kaneki, have you seen Ayato and Hina?” Touka is hungry, pregnant, and 100% not ready to deal with his little brother.

“No. I gave him a few hours off.” Kaneki frowns. “Why?”

“It’s been four hours and no one’s seen them.” Touka stomps her foot. “There’s only so many places they could be!”

“They probably got lost.” Tsukiyama shrugs.

Touka glowers at him.

“Don’t shoot the messenger. Besides, I trust Hinami’s instincts to get them home.” Tsukiyama scrambles away before that pregnant ghoul eats him.

But when it’s eleven o’clock, seven hours now, and no one has heard, even the Gourmet must feel concern.

Kaneki is pacing back and forth, Touka is growling, and Yomo is trying to calm her down “for the baby.”

He just hopes his nephew isn’t making one.

“Oni-Chan!” Hinami races into headquarters, Ayato on her heels. “I’m so sorry! We got lost during our walk!”

“There’s a lot of space underground,” Ayato adds lamely.

Touka throws her arms around Hinami. “We’re just glad you’re okay.”

Ayato feels someone tap his shoulder. Kaneki Ken tucks the pack of his shirt in before anyone notices.

He’s kinda grateful for this brother-in-law, and even more so for Hinami.
