This hurts, Nonny-Mouse.
“No,” breathes Naki’s s/o. They lean over with a moan, clutching their swollen stomach. Tears fill their eyes, but they fight them back. “I can’t … they’ll never keep him for long – he won’t know anything useful, Eto!”
Losing control of their emotions, s/o swings wildly at Eto, who dodges easily.
“We won’t let Naki die without a fight,” Eto says lightly, because she can’t allow another half-ghoul baby to grow up fatherless. Eto’s not one for morals, but she’s also not a hypocrite.
S/O balls her hands into fists. They are not giving up Naki for dead. Never. Fuck CCG. “I’ll help you plan it.”
“You realize you won’t be allowed near the prison, right?” Eto asks dryly.
“Yes, but I’m going to do what little I can to help.” They touch their stomach lightly, vowing to rescue Naki for their unborn child. Just because they are human – that doesn’t mean they are weak.

S/O has been trying not to worry about their husband. He has the White Suits and the Three Blades. He can handle himself.
They have their own problems to worry about – a sealed tunnel, CCG behind them, Touka and HInami throwing themselves in front of the Aogiri children.
S/O sees themself in Touka, fighting despite their pregnancy. They can’t allow Touka to die.
They pull their four-year-old child closer to them. Up ahead, the tunnel is sealed.
Suddenly, the walls rumble, and S/O flings themself atop their crying child as a mammoth kagune seems to swallow the 24th ward.
Slowly, Touka organizes them. They find Hinami, and then, Miza.
“Miza!” They cry. “Where’s Naki?”
Miza’s eyes fill with tears.
“Where is he?” They try to remain calm, for their child.
Touka’s face pales.
“He’s sleeping,” Miza says, her voice breaking.
S/O bites their lip to keep from screaming. Touka steps towards them, but they jerk away.
“Where’s Daddy?” asks their child.
S/O gasps, realizing that their kid is witnessing this.
“Sleeping, honey,” says S/O, unsure how many traumas to inflict upon a kid. “We’ll see him soon.” They bend over to hug their child, and for a moment, they consider collapsing and dying themself.
But then Miza’s hands help hold S/O upright, and Hinami’s distracting their kid.
This family – this little Goat family – is their only hope now.
S/O vows to scream later. Right now, they need to keep moving. And if they don’t, they will never move again.
