Michiko and Mizurou trying to get some ‘alone time’ but keeping getting interrupted by the rest of the Suzuya Squad.

Michiko Ayase wraps her arms around Mizurou and pulls him closer. His lips are soft and slick against hers, and she feels warm all over.

He brushes back her light brown hair. “Want to find a quiet place?”

He tries to render his tone confident, but his voice cracks halfway through the sentence.

Michiko chuckles. He’s so adorable. “Yes.”

Mizurou tugs him off their couch. As they exit the Suzuya Squad’s living room, Mizurou chokes and Michiko flushes to see Keijin Nakarai standing there.

“Make good choices,” he sings, brushing past them.

Mizurou sticks his tongue out at his teammate, and Michiko follows suit. Then, hand in hand, they dash in Mizurou’s room.

“Miyuki, what are you doing here?” Mizurou sputters.

“You have a perfect view of Venus,” Mikage says dreamily, staring out his window.

“Yes, and she’s not out that window.” Mizurou winks at Michiko. “Now, get out.”

Mikage obeys, and finally Michiko pulls Mizurou towards her without fear of being seen.

They fumble around, attached at the lips, when the door flies open. “Hey, help me hide some candy from Suz -”

Hanbee freezes. His soul leaves his body. Probably.

Mizurou and Michiko stare at him. They lie on his bed, rumpled and messy-haired, although – and Michiko is thankful for Hanbee’s sake – still clothed.

“Bye,” Hanbee squeaks, closing the door.

“He’s undoubtedly heading off to cry,” Mizurou says cheerfully.

“Now, where were we?” Michiko leans over to kiss Mizurou again.

Mikage: the constellations have aligned. The planets have united as one. The world is ending and it is beautiful.

Shinohara: Suzuya, sometimes that word upsets people. I’ve found it helpful to try saying what is making you so angry, rather than saying that word.

Hanbee has a niece, his brother’s 4 year old daughter called Misaki, and one day his brother and his wife can’t find a babysitter so the Suzuya squad offer to take care of Misaki for the weekend. What happens?

“Does Misaki like candy?” Suzuya looks at his pockets, which he has stuffed with Skittles, M&M’s, and chocolate.

Hanbee pales on his way to answer their door. “My brother is super-strict on sugar.”

“So the answer is yes,” Mizurou says.

Keijin opens the door.

“Hiiiiiiiiii!” Misaki races in, giggling. “I memorized all your names! Suzuya! Mikage! Mizurou! Keijin! Uncle Hanbeeeeeeeeeeeeee!”

Keijin looks ill already as Hanbee’s brother and his wife hand over instructions.

“No sugar,” they emphasize before leaving.

Suzuya looks horrified, but he doesn’t want to interfere with her upbringing. So he tries to shove his jacket in the hall closet.

“Is that candy?” Misaki’s eyes focus, like lasers, on his pockets.

“Yes, but -”

Suzuya has to dive out of the way as Misaki barrels towards him. “Please! Please! Uncle Hanbee!”

Hanbee sighs as Suzuya climbs onto the furniture, away from this four-year-old human monster. “We’re screwed.”

“Give it,” Mikage says.

Suzuya sighs with relief and dumps the candy onto the child’s head. It rains down upon her like amazing rain.

“I love you!” she cheers, mouth full of sugar. “Can I see your quinques?”

“Hell no,” Keijin exclaims.

“You swore.”

Hanbee whimpers. She’ll tell her parents, won’t she? “Uh, sure.”

“Yessssss!” Misaki claps her hands innocently.

“Here’s Beef.” Mizurou opens his briefcase.

“Eek! I want one.”

“No,” Hanbee declares.

“Fine.” She pouts. She’s immediately distracted by the sea of candy surrounding her. “Can we make a piñata with all this candy?”

“Yes!” cheers Mikage.

“Good idea,” Suzuya adds.

Paper-mache. Hanbee winces, but he has to admit, he kinda wants to do this too.

When Misaki’s parents return two days later, they find the Suzuya Squad’s living room coated in plaster and dyes, and candy wrappings in Misaki’s hair.

May I request some headcanons about Suzuya’s squad daily life ?

You may, you may indeed.

– Keijin strictly controls how much candy is in the house out of worry Suzuya will make himself sick. This has never happened, but he doesn’t want to risk it.

– Mizurou hides candy all throughout the house. It’s become a game of Suzuya sniffing it out.

– Hanbee and Mikage are usually hired to hide candy on the top shelves. This does not stop Suzuya from climbing them.

– Mikage is a bit of a night owl. He will stay up to ridiculous hours and appears to be one of those rare species of human who doesn’t need lots of sleep.

– Hanbee has a stuffed animal collection that he originally hid until Mizurou found it. Suzuya occasionally buys him more plushies now.

– Keijin has a cologne collection he likes to try out. Some days the entire house just reeks of perfume.

– Mizurou loves playing practical jokes on all his friends, especially Hanbee (because he’s jumpy) and Keijin (because it annoys him). Suzuya can usually be enticed to help.

– Suzuya occasionally steals Hanbee’s giant stuffed giraffe and takes it to his room for the night. These are usually the nights he seems quiet or sad, so Hanbee doesn’t mind.

“I mean – Nakarai, you – I like you.” Tamaki lowers his eyes. “That’s why I followed you out here.”
