Back at it with the angst and because tumblr’s a hungry little shit ^^;; Maybe Keijin and Kiyoko having a conversation post-canon (similar to the one where Aura came out to her), where they talk about falling in love with their best friends? Maybe in the wake of Mizurou’s engagement to the woman he hands up marrying, Keijin needs to at least tell someone, so he doesn’t say anything to Mizurou so he doesn’t “ruin” his best friend’s life?

“Mizurou’s engaged. Our squad is happy,” Keijin says calmly.

He and Kiyoko Aura meet up every month or so, for coffee, some of Yoriko’s delicious goodies, and discussing their now very-different lives.

Kiyoko eyes her former squad member. “Your squad, but not you?”

“I’m happy for him,” Keijin insists.

“But sad for yourself.” Kiyoko sips her coffee.

Keijin chokes. He turns bright red. “Uh – you – what are you -”

“Keijin, I know,” Kiyoko says. “I am gay myself.”

“Huh?” Keijin drops his melon pan. His mentor, the one he looks up to – has the same issue as him? “Oh.”

“It’s okay, you know. The sooner you accept yourself, the better.” Kiyoko sighs, staring at her coffee. “It’s funny. Even with all of CCG’s sins, the one regret I keep with me is not telling my best friend I was in love with her.”

“I knew it could never happen,” says Keijin.

“Why? You’ll never know who’s queer until everyone’s open about it.” Kiyoko raises an eyebrow. “And if you want everyone to be open, you have to be open yourself.”

“Says someone who didn’t tell me until now!” Keijin squeaks.

“Point taken. But you’re young still.” Kiyoko points at Keijin. “Don’t ignore the next opportunity.”

Keijin swallows the lump in his throat. The next. Because he will never have Mizurou now. He will never risk their friendship now that Mizurou is engaged, a and Kiyoko knows that.

“I won’t,” he vows, to himself as much as Mizurou.

Ok since my curiosity got to the better of me, Can I ask for the extension of Maya and Hajime’s babysitting mishap? (Like the parents reaction etc.) Erica probably wasn’t too happy with either of them for nearly loosing her niece, so maybe the GOAT kids could come into play to try to help Hajime and Mayazumi win her over again! >u<

UiHai

– Ui is aghast. He is appalled. Both by Masanori’s cheery disregard for rules and the possible dangers his kid faced!

– Hairu, since she used to dream of sneaking out of the garden, is more sympathetic. She tries to relate to Masanori while encouraging him to never do that again.

– It almost works. But Masanori is too smart for his own good; he begins to piece together similarities between his Mommy’s upbringing and Ryuu’s. So…more sneaking out is required.

Ui Koharu/Takeo Ryohei

– Ryohei is just relieved that Shouhei is okay. To be honest, his attempts to be stern fall apart.

– Koharu finishes the talk, however. She’s angry but controlled, and quite nuanced. She makes it clear that both the babysitters and the kids are at fault.

– Ryohei is impressed at his wife and just a tad desperate to kiss her when they finish talking with Shouhei.

– Shouhei is a bit nervous to follow Masanori’s mischief now. Until Masanori persuades him again.

Mizurou Tamaki/Ayase Michiko

– Mizurou can’t stop laughing. It’s a problem exacerbated by the rest of Suzuya Squad loving all the photos of Hajime and Mayazumi with painted faces.

– Michiko may be the only one who does not dismiss the idea of Ryuu as an imaginary friend. This concerns her.

Akita Erica

– Is not going to let Hajime and Mayazumi forget anytime soon. They will buy her dinner in penance, but still.

– She threatens to lose them in battle as revenge.

– Will definitely ensure EVERYONE sees footage of their face paint.

– She may offer Mayazumi forgiveness and a hug later, though, if he seems distressed enough. Maybe this will…alllow them to talk about feelings. Or mutually understand without talking, because that’s totally how it works rightttttt.

Akita Brooke/Touma Higemaru

– Higemaru gently suggests that Brooke take a walk first to cool off.

– Higemaru first speaks to Nagisa, explaining the issue in ways tht Nagisa and understand. He then encourages Nagisa to apologize to Hajime and Mayazumi, which Nagisa does.

– Brooke returns and waits as Higemaru explains to Hajime and Mayazumi how to “avoid losing the kids you’re babysitting.” Just…tapping….her…foot. Her mama glare is enough to scare the two into seriousness.

– Nagisa then apologize to Brooke, too, for worrying her, and Brooke and Higemaru both tear up.

Can you write about Mizurou and Hooguro’s wives?

I’m so proud of you for jumping on Hooguro’s immense story potential already. This fandom is amazing.

Hoogurowaifu

– She dove in front of a ghoul about to be killed by a vengeful human (who had become a serial killer hunting down innocent ghouls), and Hooguro saved her.

– He was immediately impressed by her quick-thinking and compassion; she, by his bravery. They both caught their breath looking at each other, and their lives were never the same.

– She’s an acquaintance of Tsukiyama, having run in the same opulent business family circles.

– She abandoned her rich, powerful family for Hooguro. They married ghoul-style mostly because she and he both wanted it, but also – her family would have prevented them from a human marriage license.

– She loves animals. She and Hooguro have a small zoo in their apartment, alongside baby Warai.

Mizurouwaifu

– She works for the TSC.

– Her name is Ayase Michiko. I can picture no one else but the OC from @koyuki-tan

– She and Mizurou have a daughter named Mizuki, and all of Suzuya Squad takes care of her.

– She is practical, with impractical quirks – she hates her glasses despite seeing better, daydreams about stars, etc.

– She and Mizurou balance each other quite nicely with their humor.

Since there’s a thunderstorm happening where I am today, could I request michizurou and the Suzuya Squad to comfort Mizuki during a thunderstorm please?

Mizuki squeaks as lightning flashes outside her window. “It sounds so angry!”

“It’s okay,” Michiko assures her daughter. “It can’t hurt you.”

Thunder claps down upon them, and Mizurou winces.

“It hurts my ears!” Mizuki claps her hands over her ears.

“I know, sweetie.” Mizurou wraps his arms around her. “I’ll text and ask if any of our Uncles have earplugs.”

A minute and two more thunder crashes later, Mikage soars into Mizuki’s room. “I have earplugs!”

He’s so proud of himself. Best Uncle Points for earplugs? Amazing.

“I hate thunder too,” Hanbee says from behind Mikage. “I know how you feel, Mizuki.”

“You do?” She sniffles. “But you’re so brave, Uncle Hanbee.”

Mikage narrows his eyes. Oh, so now empathy matters more than earplugs?

“I actually like thunder,” sings Suzuya as he saunters in. “It’s exciting. Think of it as the sky having a tantrum.”

“It’s actually a problem with the expansion of air in clouds,” Keijin says, squeezing his way in with a brand new science book for kids. He’s been holding onto this book, waiting for this moment, to be the best Uncle. “Wanna read?”

Mizuki nods eagerly.

“Can we take turns?” Mikage asks desperately.

Michiko winks at Mizurou. Indeed, the Uncles are falling over themselves to win over their daughter.

Good. She deserves the best.

Since it’s Mizurou’s birthday, I’d love to see how Mizuki, Michiko, Mayuzumi, and the Suzuya Squad help him celebrate!

Suzuya Juuzou

– is very indulgent of his kid’s fondness for sweets.

– tries to follow Mr. Shinohara’s model with him, and as a result, his kid grows up calling Mrs. Shinohara “Grandma.”

– Always energetic and willing to try whatever craziness his child has concocted.

Hanbee Abara

– Sometimes he wonders if his hyper, mischievous child deliberately torments him.

– Will cry if he can’t find his child for 0.5 seconds.

– Loves giving his child “airplane” rides on his impressively tall shoulders.

Mizurou Tamaki

– He is determined to impress upon his child a sense of true humor.

– loves coloring with his kid, and ‘cooking.’ Usually that means both of them need to shower off the flour, sauce, and water else they’ve spilled on themselves.

– All in all, a very easygoing, fun dad.

Keijin Nakarai

– buys his kid all the pets.

– will probably tear up at every developmental milestone.

– takes parenting very seriously. He and Mizurou often meet up to balance each other out with their different perspectives.

Miyuki Mikage

– His kids are raised on Star Wars and Star Trek.

– His partner managed to convince him to wait to show them The X Files until they are much older.

– Loves playing dress-up with his kids. A villain? A princess? An ALIEN? He’ll play them all. Even a villainous alien princess.

Okay the moment has arrived. Mizuki asks her parents the dreaded question…Where do babies come from?

“Um.” Michiko blushes. She is not prepared for this question.

“Uh.” Mizurou struggles to hide a laugh. “Why don’t you ask Uncle Hanbee.”

“Oh…okay.” Mizuki totters away to the living room.

“Three…two…one…” Mizurou narrates.

They hear a scream.

Mizuki stomps back. “Mom, Dad, Uncle Hanbee said to ask you.”

Suzuya pokes his head into the room. “What’s going on?”

“Where do babies come from? Why can’t I know?” Mizuki complains.

“Oh hell no!” Keijin scurries past.

“Aliens,” Mikage says seriously before following Keijin.

“Squad Leader, stay,” Mizurou begs.

“This is your turn to shine, Mizurou,” Suzuya says with a grin.

When it’s just the three of them, Michiko sighs. “Let’s sit down, Mizuki.”

Mizurou probably tells poor Mizuki all the worst dad jokes he can muster.

– Mizurou has spent hours with Kaneki Ken, trying to learn the art of puns.

– Mizuki groans and falls to the floor as if dead every time. This backfires, however, because Mizurou thinks it’s adorable.

– Finally, Mizuki dares her dad to end every sentence with a pun for a day.

– He almost did, except –

– Michiko finally shoves her kagune into her husband’s mouth just to quiet him.

– and that’s when Squad Suzuya instigates…the prank war.

– Michiko is awakened to breakfast in bed prepared by her doting husband Mizurou.

– Mizurou has prepared all her favorite breakfast foods, with Mizuki helping.

– They then go on a long walk with Mizuki, who has fun riding on her parents’ shoulders.

– When they return, Michiko is thrilled to find all of the Quinx, beta-Quinx, Squad Suzuya, and more, ready for a party.

– After Mizuki has eaten enough cake and crashed into a sugar coma, and everyone else is gone or asleep, Mizurou slyly offers to make Michiko a mother a second time…

When uncle Hanbee catches a cold, Mizuki wants to help him get better by bringing him presents or (to try) assisting the other Suzuya squad members.

“I got you a present, Uncle Hanbee.”

“Oh?” Hanbee pushes himself up, smiling as much as his sore throat will allow.

“Yes.” Michiko and Mizurou’s kid totters in, holding glass jar. “I caught you a spider!”

Hanbee wants to scream, but he settles for a “Oh, how nice.”

“Here you go.” The child takes it out of the glass and places it on Hanbee’s arm. “I named it after you. Hanbee Jr.”

“How nice,” Hanbee repeats, but now there are tears in his eyes.

“Are you crying?”

“Can you get your mom to give me my medicine?” Hanbee asks, not wanting to offend Mizuki.

Mizuki nods and runs off.

Michiko shakes her head a few minutes later. She removes the spider from Hanbee’s arm, laughing the entire time.

Meanwhile, Suzuya is about to lead his Squad on a mission to reports of another ghoul hunting humans.

“Wait for me!” Mizurou spends around to see his daughter running after them. “I want to fill in for Hanbee!”

“Michiko.” Mizurou calls his phone. “Can you pick up our daughter, please.”

He pauses. “She did WHAT to Hanbee?!”
