“Help m-m…” Yasuhisa Kurona struggles to form the words.

“Kuro!” Suzuya Juuzou shoves open the cell door to see his former nemesis lying on the floor, her arms feebly reaching for the door. Her skin is tinged with blue, and her eyes are dull.

“I thought Kanou was going to give you Shiro back.”

Kuro shakes her head. “H – h – he never cared…”

There’s a gaping hole in her stomach. Suzuya does not have the Rc cells to save her.

“You have to get out of here.” Suzuya knows the Rc gas in her cell is keeping her from healing – if she even can.

“You should…go.” GOAT is fighting outside. She took as risk coming here to beg Kanou.

“I am not leaving here until we find some way to save you!” Suzuya crosses his arms.

Since he can’t atone for Nashiro, he will save her sister. “Kuro, who’s the strongest ghoul you know? We’ll get you to him. You can eat his kagune or something – you’ll be okay.”

“T…takiz…owl,” she mumbles.

“Takizawa!” Seidou. Of course. Suzuya hauls her up. She can lean on him. “I’ve got you!”

————————————————–

Bodies – and pieces of bodies – litter the CCG lot.

“Owl!” Dr. Kanou howls at Takizawa. This ghoul, his creation, is too powerful to defeat on strength. “You can’t run from your crimes!”

Takizawa hesitates. Even now, free, the sight of his torturer frightens him. He’s right, of course; all Takizawa does is destroy. It’s all he knows anymore. Once V is destroyed, Takizawa must die. “Give Kuro her sister back, and then we’ll talk.”

“Kurona? Kurona came to me stabbed through by the CCG investigators you used to support. Kurona is dead, just like her sister!” yells Kanou. His eyes light up – Takizawa is frozen. So he does care for the girl.

“No – no.” Takizawa helped her into CCG. He helped her to help Shiro, because it would make her happy. “No!”

He screams and falls to his knees. He’s done this again. He’s killed his family again.

Kanou draws a quinque and holds it above the shaking monster.

“No!” screams the last voice Kanou expected. Kurona hurls herself between Takizawa and Kanou.

His blade strikes her, but Suzuya hurls him back. Kanou’s head cracks agaisnt the pavement.

“Kuro!” Takizawa looks up at his blood-soaked friend. “Kuro, no!”

He wraps her in a bear hug and sobs. His kagune wraps around her broken insides, holding them in.

And then color begins to return to her cheeks.

Takizawa frowns.

Kurona gasps.

“Your kagune.” Suzuya points.

His kagune glows. Everywhere it touches her flesh, the battered bruises and torn skin knit themselves together.

“You’re healing her.”

Takizawa begins to shake. Can he – can he really do something other than destruction? “I love her.”

Kurona looks into his eyes and envisions a whole life even without Nashiro. “I love him, too.”

KuronaxJuuzou???!!! We always have Juuzuo vs Kurona, but what it will like if they become side by side??!!!

This is a cool idea!

Golden sunlight filters in through the skylight to their bedroom. Suzuya Juuzou traces the scars on Yasuhisa Kurona’s abdomen as he waits for her to awaken. He hates that he hurt her before, because now all she brings is happiness.

Kurona cracks open an eye. “Hi there, Juuzou.” She sits up to kiss him good morning.

At the new Commission for Human-Ghoul Alliance (CHGA), Kurona and Suzuya are both alerted to a hostage situation. Some bigot has taken ghoul children captive. Well, not on their watch.

“Hi there! Don’t worry, I’m human.” Suzuya distracts the older man with talk of puddings and chocolate, while Kurona sneaks onto the roof. In a flash, she uses her kagune to smash her way through and bind the man, while Suzuya Squad swoop in to save the crying children.

“We were them once,” Kurona remarks later.

Suzuya nods. He always finds children the hardest. Every time, he relives what Mr. Shinohara must have thought seeing him.

“They’ll be okay.” Kurona turns her eyes to him. “If we’re okay and in love, they can make it past their trauma. I believe in them.”

“I believe in you,” he tells her with a giggle, and she shoves him playfully.

They eat dinner together, though Suzuya mostly snacks on sweets and Kurona devours her corpse flesh. Then they kiss, and Suzuya begs her for a special night.

They both have scars, but they only love each other more for it. As they tumble back into bed, Suzuya whispers how much he loves her.

“I love you, too,” Kurona says with dreamy eyes. Through the skylight, a star falls. “You know what? Sometimes I think Shiro’s looking down at us, smiling.”

Goat (Kaneki, Hinami, Banjou and Kurona) trying to wash Takizawa… he stinks way too much Takizawa is kinda like a huge dog

Hahahaha this sounds fun.

“I can’t handle this anymore. Clean yourself, you filthy animal.” Kurona shoves Takizawa into the bathroom, where Kaneki, HInami, and Banjou await.

“What is this about?”

“Cleaning you,” Kaneki says apologetically.

“You need a nice bath.” Banjou nods.

“Not with them here!” Seidou points towards Hinami and Kurona.

“Hinami’s here to make sure we adults behave.” Kurona winks.

“We won’t remove your underwear. Just that black cloak.” Hinami tugs it off.

“What if that was the only thing I wore?” Seidou yelps.

“It wasn’t, kid.” Banjou digs his fingers into the soapy water. “Perfect.”

Kurona shoves Seidou into the bath. He makes sure to cause as large a splash as possible. Hinami laughs, while Kuro shrieks.

He hasn’t allowed himself luxuries like a bath in a long time. Seidou closes his eyes as Kaneki massages his arms and Kurona shampoos his hair.

“Damn I love you guys.”

“Good.” Banjou dumps a bucket over Seidou, who retaliates with more splashes.

“It’s on, Big Brother!” Hinami throws Kaneki into the tub.

“Don’t discriminate against humane-turned-ghouls,” Seidou huffs, tugging on Kurona. “Get – in – here!”

She tumbles in, and Kaneki hurls water at Banjou.

“Why me!”

“What the everloving – ?” Amon Kotarou throws open the bathroom door to see Hinami cowering behind a bucket, Banjou spitting up soap, and Kaneki, Kurona, and Seidou kicking around bubbles in an overstuffed tub.

“Okay,” Amon mutters, face red. “And I thought I’d seen it all.”

Seidou and Kurona talking about their tragic past events involving their family members, which turns into talking about creating a new family together?

Bless you for this ask.

“Hey.” Yasuhisa Kurona wakes up and nudges a whining Seidou. “Bad dream?”

Takizawa Seidou opens his eyes to see dark hair cascading over her bare shoulders. Her beautiful, single kalgan open. “Kurona.”

“I’m here.”

“It was a good dream. My family was here, and I was introducing you to them.” He rests her head against his concave chest. “They liked you.”

“I’m glad.”

“They would have, too.” Seidou’s pitch rises. “If I hadn’t eaten them.”

“Stop.” Kurona lifts her head. “Kanou is an evil bastard. He took them. He killed them. You weren’t to blame for surviving.”

“I gave in, too, you know,” she adds, a tear trickling down her cheek. “I ate people. Sometimes I think I lost Nashiro for it.”

“The world isn’t so vengeful. Only we are.” Seidou shrugs, but he clings to her. “I wish I’d met your sister.”

“She’d prank you ’til you got sick of her.” Kurona rolled her moist eyes.

“Or would she get sick of our pranks?” Seidou kisses her, and Kurona giggles against his lips.

“Do you ever wonder if we can start over? With families?” Seidou swallows. “If we could … dare … be parents?”

“I don’t wonder. I dream.” Kurona smiles, and now she really is crying. “Do you think there’s enough redemption in this world to give us a happy family?”

Seidou rolls on top of her. “I’d like to find out.” He sound both hopeful and seductive.

“Kanou took too much of our pasts. He can’t take our future.” Kurona pulls him closer to her.

Seidou x Kurona

These two. are. so. underrated. Takirona forever!

“Do you like being alive, Yasuhisa Kurona?” Takizawa Seidou peers around the corner. They’ve been scouting for food to bring back to GOAT headquarters, but now it’s night and the ward is crawling with investigators.

“Of course I do. Why?” Kurona’s busy watching the two Doves across the street. Sometimes it scares her that she and Nashiro could have joined them.

“We’re about to die.” Seidou points towards two men with Rc Scanning devices, headed towards the alley they’re hiding in.

He’s gonna have to kill again.

Kurona rolls her eyes. “I have other plans.”

She shoves Seidou against the wall and bites his lips in hers.

Seidou takes a moment to respond, but then he hoists her hips on his , and she’s panting and he’s groaning just loud enough to alert the investigators.

“Uh.” The investigators stop at the beginning of the alley, alarmed by the raunchy display. “What are you two doing?”

Kurona keeps her hair draped over Seidou’s face. “I charge extra for cops.”

“Get the fuck outta here, cretin.” The man curses at her, so Kurona grabs Seidou’s hand and flees.

Seidou dashes alongside her. “Are you kidding me?”

“Well, it worked! They were too uncomfortable to get close.” Kurona stops by the ajar sewer. “In with you.”

He drops in, and she follows suit. “I just saved both our asses.”

“You always do,” he admits. When he fought Amon, she saved him after he passed out. She called him a good man, and he’s never forgotten.

“I’ve never kissed anyone before. I hope I did alright.” Kurona laughs. Nashiro would demand every detail.

His hair got in my mouth. He was slobbery. I liked it.

“That’s the most action I’ve had myself,” Seidou admits. She can’t feel anything for him. She should be repulsed by him.

Good man.

Kurona chuckles at his pun.

He stops and grabs her wrist. “Do you – do you want to try it again?”

His heart drums in his ears. Why is he asking her? He’s shit.

Good man.

“When you’ve lost everything else, ‘the only thing left is to live for someone else.’” Kurona looks at him. “You said that.”

“Oh.” He doesn’t remember. Damn kakuja.

“I still live for myself. Maybe I’m selfish. I live so I can remember Nashiro. I’d give my life to resurrect her. You can live for yourself, too.”

Seidou blinks. Can he be a good man?

Kurona smirks. Shoves him agains the sewer wall this time. “All that to say, hell yeah.”

And then she’s on him and he’s on her, and right now, his life feels possible again.

Takizawa is injured and Akira and Amon find out.

We’re assuming this is post-ghoulification and reunion for our friends.

“He’s pretty bad,” Banjou says, eying the babbling Takizawa. Truth to be told, the injuries will heal. But this kid’s mental state makes Kaneki look normal.

“He’s missing three limbs. Of course it’s bad,” Kurona shoots back. She points at Banjou. “You! Are not going to let our sibling die.”

Kaneki isn’t sure how he feels about her insistence on calling them siblings, but if it helps her, fine.

“Move, Eyepatch King.” Mado Akira appears in the room, shoving the One-Eyed King aside so fast he crashes into the wall. She’s not really sorry.

Amon Koutarou rushes in behind her. “Seidou!”

“It’s Owl now, right?” Akira winks at Takizawa’s bloodied mouth.

“No!” he wails. “I did it! I killed Mom and Dad! I drank their blood!”

Akira exchanges a glance with Amon.

“I’m impossible.” Seidou grins.

Taste like home cooking, Seidou?

He feels like such an object. Even now. He can’t reclaim his personhood no matter how desperately he desires.

“I mean, yes,” Amon says, perching on the bed next to Seidou. “But we love you for it.”

“My life is shit.” Tears stream down his face.

“We like your life. I nearly gave up mine for you!” Akira jabs her finger at him, and the delirious ghoul pauses for a moment. “And it was worth it, God dammit!”

“Dammit, like I’m damned.”

Amon clears his throat. “I was raised by a priest, remember. You’re not damned, Seidou.”

“And if you were, we’d break down hell for you.” Akira kisses the top of Seidou’s head. “We love you.”

He pauses. “Really?”

“Please believe that.”

For a moment, looking at their compassionate faces, he feels like nothing happened. For a moment, he dares to believe them.

Scenario where Kurona and Juuzou have to talk about what happened without trying to kill each other (let me dream okay)

Just minor attempted murders okay?

“Just – please – please let me kill him!” Kurona lunged forward, but Kaneki held her back. She broke into sobs. “He killed our sister! She had Rize’s kagune too!”

Suzuya peeked out from behind Hanbee and Nakarai. Mikage and Tamaki stood behind him, ready to attack anyone else who got ideas.

“Please!”

“He’s my friend! He was raised to kill. I killed, too, when I had my memories wiped, remember?” Kaneki met Tsukiyama’s eyes.

“Damn threw me off a building.” The gourmet’s eyes soured at the memory of Karren. But he’d told her it would all be okay, and okay did not include vengeance on a brainwashed Kaneki.

“She was my best friend – she loved me no matter what,” Kurona sobbed. “R-r-remember when you lost your Shinohara? That’s what you did to me, and you laughed. You made it into a game.”

Suzuya’s eyes widened. His mouth formed a perfect red circle, and for a moment he felt like he was losing Shinohara again. And again, and again, over and over and over – the Owl kept stabbing him –

“No,” he mumbled. “No, no, no!”

“Hey.” Hanbee caught his arms.

“Mr. Shinohara knew what you did. He loved you regardless,” said Nakarai.

“But I don’t love – me …” Suzuya took a step towards Kurona. He was visibly sweating. And then he burst into tears. “I’m sorry! I’m so sorry!”

“You killed her,” Kurona whimpered.

“Do you … do you want to kill me?” Suzuya held out Jason as tears streamed down his face.

Kurona took a step forward, but she didn’t reach for the quinque. “No. I want her back.”

He looked at the sobbing enemy before her and felt an unexpected stab of pity. He looked like a child. A child she had called “Rei” without knowing what that meant.

“I don’t forgive you, Juuzou. But I think – I think together, we can be on the same team making the world better.” Kurona held out her hand, and Juuzou flung himself into her arms.
