Oooooh. I can see two ideals.
One is the Enji-Koma type. Wisecracking, not too serious, but with a sober and empathetic heart. They would have a teasing relationship, peppered with late-night, soul-wrenching conversations.
The other type os a quiet, gentle soul. A Hirako Take type, if you will. Regardless of species, accepting of Irimi. Admiring her. Introverted and committed to learning alongside her.
The one ideal both must have is a love for dogs.
Hmmmm. I don’t think there’s any official data, so I headcanon them as mid-thirties. Old enough to have gained a gang, maturity, and changed their lives, in that order. Young enough to be rated as highly dangerous. 😀

Kirishima Touka – German Shepherd.
Fueguchi HInami – Beagle
Hideyoshi Nagachika – Shiba Inu
Yoshimura Kuzen – Akita Inu.
Yomo Renji – Great Pyrenees
Uta – A fox raised in captivity with no chance in the wild. He just had to.
Nishiki Nishio – Samoyed.
Nishino Kimi – mutt.
Irimi Kaya – Doberman.
Koma Enji – golden retriever.

– She’s being cared for by Yomo Renji, a close friend of her parents’.
– He also ensured there was a proper burial for them.
– She’s a good older cousin to Pleasure-chan and all of the Nakimiza brood.
– She once asked Yomo if they could adopt a doberman, and he may have cried.
– and then acquiesced. Uta had to move in to help care for the puppy, though.
– The irimikoma daughter is determined to one day be like Uncle Shuu and help work for the TSC. She’s gonna do her parents proud.

– Koma insists that Touka celebrates her birthday. With candles and coffee and presents, even though Touka is self-conscious about it.
– After Anteiku, Irimi reaches out to Touka. They share a lot of the same feelings – wondering why they are alive when they intended to die with their friends. And despite their guilt, Touka realizes she’s happy Irimi is alive, and vice versa.
– Koma wants to put a giant stuffed ape in :Re. Irimi and Touka unite to stop this idea.
– “We’re perfect role models for how to get along with difficult people!” they say, pointing at each other.
– Their banter still warms Touka’s hurting heart.
– Irimi loves when Touka teaches her science.
– Koma gives Touka dancing lessons.
– As they convince Touka her life is ahead of her, they find themselves re-attached to the idea of their own lives. Even despite their pasts, through Touka, they learn the value of self-forgiveness.
– Shio is super excited to meet the infamous leader of the Black Dobers. He also asks her two dozen questions about caring for a puppy in a not-at-all-obvious hint to Take. Lucky for him, Irimi takes his side.
– Rikai is more shy, but Irimi wins her over by being very understanding. They decide that as girls, they must stick together in this new family.
– Irimi is kind enough not to tease Yusa about his famous relative, which is really the only thing Yusa needed to approve of her. They quickly bond, especially since Yusa also wants a puppy.
– Take: wait we’re in a war here this is not puppy time.
– Irimi: but it’s dating time? Psssh.

– They go to a dog park. How could they not?
– They then realize that while Irimi likes the wild, big, scary dogs, Take prefers the small Shibas and Corgis.
– That is, Take is mildly intimidated by the large puppers until Irimi takes a doberman baby and puts it in his arms. Then he’s sold.
– Take is amazed that this gentle, kind, wise woman is a wanted ghoul of infamous savagery.
– Irimi, meanwhile, is smitten that with this gentleman who used to work with Arima himself, who believes himself expendable, yet has added so much to the lives of those in Goat.
– Take: on our second date, why don’t we go to a dog kennel? Oh, there is going to be a second date, right? *stutters, goes red*
– Irimi: *eyebrows raised, an unreadable smile on her face* Of course, my dear Take.
– Take strikes me as the sort not to kiss on the first date, which Irimi accepts, though she is. They do, however, hold hands on their way back from the park.
YASSSSSS
(I miss them).
“Koma, can you mop the floors just a little better?” Irimi crosses her arms from behind the counter in Anteiku.
“Can or will?” Koma winks.
“Enji, you’re a fool,” she says with a roll of her eyes.
“Enji, is it?” Koma brightens. He sidles up to her. “Enji, eh, Kaya?”
She smiles at how close his face is to hers. “I think so, Enji.”
He leans forward to brush his lips against hers.
Irimi grabs him by his collar to yank him closer. She deepens their kiss.
Enji opens his mouth, and Irimi dives in, wrapping her arms around him.
Behind them, Yoshimura smiles as he tiptoes out of earshot. These tender moments don’t belong to him.
Kaneki Ken – He will ask if they want to return to sleep or talk. If they choose the former, he’ll hold them tight and assure them he’ll protect them. If the latter, he’ll brew coffee and listen intently.
Kirishima Touka – She’ll say well that’s it for sleep. She’ll brew coffee and talk and keep they awake as they dissect their dreams.
Fueguchi Hinami – She will hug the nightmare out of them.
Nishiki Nishio – He’ll massage his SO as they either talk about it or talk about something else.
Nishino Kimi – She’ll probably psychoanalyze the dream to give her partner more control.
Yoshimura – He’ll assure his SO he will never, ever let something bad happen and tug them closer.
Koma Enji – He’ll listen to their nightmare, then make up funny endings and stories to get their mind off the dream.
Irimi Kaya – Will use her kagune to shield her SO. Pile blankets atop them. Make sure they feel secure enough to return to the land of slumber.
Yomo Renji – He will wait to see their response. Do they want to talk? If so, he’ll watch them with his serious eyes so they know he’s paying attention. If they just want to forget, he’ll allow it for now, but inwardly he’d be very sad that they had a nightmare, because he wishes he could take it away.
Uta – He’ll work on getting his SO to forget. Perhaps some hanky-panky or tickling.
Kaneki Ken – Likes him, though his attitude towards ghouls and eating people is sad at times, even though Yoshimura understands it. He has great hopes for his future.
Kirishima Touka – He adores Touka like she was his own daughter. Her tough attitude might aggravate others, but he knows where it comes from. He worries for her impulsiveness and ships her with Kaneki.
Kirishima Ayato – Misses the kid. Recognizes his angst. Wants him to come home.
Fueguchi Hinami – Concerned about how traumatized she must be. Wants to emphasize her kind spirit to keep her out of trouble.
Yomo Renji – Yomo is his secret keeper. He admires Yomo for turning his life around, yet not entirely working at Anteiku. He thinks Yomo has a soft heart, and he’s right.
Uta – Doesn’t trust him worth a damn, but he’s good for Renji.
Nishiki Nishio – Finally he gets to meet the infamous Nishiki. Concerned about his romance with Kimi and very invested in a happy ending.
Nishino Kimi – Very worried for her romance with Nishiki, but admires her devotion.
Irimi Kaya – his most dependable worker. He thinks she’s brilliant, harsh, and beautiful, like a winter morning. He ships her and Koma.
Koma Enji – his most entertaining worker, and a good friend. When are he and Irimi going to get together?
