nobody knows about ayato and hinami being a thing (which has surprised them) except miza, and naturally, eto. however, touka and kaneki go to wake them up with a cup of coffee and see them “doin the do” pretty roughly, and ayato and hinami dont notice them until touka drops the coffee to the ground

“Hina,” Ayato whines as Hinami straddles him.

“I’m so glad you’re back,” she whispers, nuzzling his neck.

“Me too. Even with the kids.” Ayato winks.

“Practice, am I right?” Hinami blushes, and Ayato is flooded with thrills that she would want to spend the rest of her life with him.

“Don’t hold back,” he begs her as their passion rises.

A cup smashes to the ground.

Ayato and Hina whip around to see Touka standing there, her nose bleeding and coffee splattered over her skirt.

Kaneki lunges forward, kakugan on full display, but Touka drags him back. “Let’s give them some privacy. Lock the door next time, Ayato!”

“Don’t lecture me about responsibility, pregnant one!” Ayato howls as Hinami uses her butterfly kagune to shut the door.

“Now.” Hinami smiles at him. “Where were we?”

Outside, Kaneki and Touka stare at each other. And scream.

So it’s the two year anniversary of when my mum died and I’m feeling a bit off (for good reason I suppose)). On thid topic I’ve always thought the thing that Ishida writes the best is the way he writes grief, more specifically Hinami’s. Can I ask for some little hcs about what Hinami does to remember Asaki and Ryouko?

Oh my goodness, I’m sorry I didn’t notice this ask sooner! ❤ ❤ <#

I’m so sorry. Let me know if you need to talk.

– Hinami lights a candle for each parent on their respective birthdays. Sometimes Ayato, Touka, and/or Kaneki join her. One time Tsukiyama brought incense, too.

– She likes to keep her room filled with baby’s breath flowers, because those were her Mom’s favorite. And Dad would always buy them for Mom.

– Hinami tries not to go on missions on the anniversary of her parents’ deaths. She knows she might be too distracted and therefore a liability.

– She likes reading those days, distracting herself with imaginary worlds and adventures and character’s emotions instead of her own.

– Sometimes she talks to Ayato about it. He’s pretty understanding, although he’s always complimenting how she handles her grief in comparison to his Edgelord attitude.

– She plans on someday having Uta do a tattoo of a butterfly to commemorate her parents. On her wrist, probably.

– She believes she honors her parents the most when she encounters another ghoul mourning their parents and is able to offer them comfort and empathy.

In Aogiri there’s only a couple of the younger ones that Ayato gets along with, but there’s one who’s a trans girl who’s he’s extremely protective of, and when they have free time to where what they want, she’s nervous to wear a summer dress because she’s nervous she’ll look like a boy, until Ayato walks through with Hinami, both in big party twirly skirts (naturally he wore black)

“Ayato, you have to be the encouragement you want to see.” Hinami bops him on his nose.

“H-h-how?” he stammers.

Hinami grins with an uncharacteristically wicked smile.

Two hours later

She’s the age Ayato was when he joined Aogiri. Only she’s joined Goat instead, and wants both humans and ghouls to cooperate.

She knows she’s on the right path, but she keeps getting stuck because of her body.

Because she wants to mold her body the way No Face molds his, but she isn’t talented enough, and like hell is any doctor going to help her. Besides, she’s a ghoul, and surgeries can be difficult to take.

Still, she watches Touka saunter past in a party dress that almost disguises her protruding stomach. And Miza, in a flowing skirt. And she yearns to join them.

“Hey, [name], come join us.” Ayato’s voice cuts through her ruminations.

She turns around and her mouth drops in surprise. Hinami and Ayato walk past, he in a twirly black skirt, she in a pink one.

“We got a blue one for you. Or, really, Hina did,” Ayato admits. His face is red, but hey, skirts are surprisingly comfortable.

She bursts into delighted laughter. If Ayato Kirishima can wear skirts, so can she. “Where is it?”

A thing: what if Naki takes Miza’s surname because he doesn’t have one?

Can this be canon?

“I now present, Miza and Naki Kusakari,” Kaneki announces as he closes the ceremony.

“Kusakari?” Ayato frowns.

“Naki doesn’t have last name,” Hinami hisses back.

“Hmmph. Well, I think Naki Kusakari sounds nice,” Ayato says stiffly to hide the burning in his eyes.

“You may now kiss,” Kaneki adds.

Naki’s face sparkles as he takes Miza in his arms and kisses her with all the passion he has ever felt.

Tsukiyama, Yomo, Juuzou, Ayato, and maybe Saiko or Hinami reacting to their ghoul s/o being suicidal or a self harmer (I don’t mean any disrespect in the least, I was just asking for some angsty type stuff to help me with ideas for writing)?

I understand, and I’m not against writing potentially controversial topics (because they are usually real things faced by real people) so long as we’re not glorifying it. ❤

That being said: trigger warning for self-harm and suicide.

If you’re in a crisis and in the US, please call 1-800-273-8255, or if you like texts, 741741. They’re pretty great and no, you won’t get in trouble. (Also feel free to message me, because I love you already and like you alive, though I am not a professional like the previous resources).

Tsukiyama

– When you first tell him, he can’t comprehend this. Even at his most depressed, he’s never wanted to hurt himself.

– Though he can’t grasp it, he’ll hold you as long as you feel in danger. He’ll cry with you, rock you to sleep, and promise you his love.

– He’ll later invest in a high-quality therapist, should you be open to it.

Yomo

– You’re ashamed to tell Yomo about your self-harm. He discovers when he smells blood and finally asks you about it.

– If you try to dismiss his concerns, he’d probably call you on your lies and impress how concerned he is.

– Internally cries at the idea of you hurting yourself, but outwardly listens to everything you say. Asks questions only on occasion.

– Tells you he’ll work with you, encourage you, hold you accountable. Because he loves you. And he might want you to see someone, too, though he’ll let it be your decision.

Juuzou

-He understands you better than most, because he too kinda liked the release he felt from stitching himself.

– That being said, he loves you, and he knows just hurting yourself is a bad idea. Mr. Shinohara would try to guide you away gently, and he’ll mimic him.

– It may not be a permanent solution, but Suzuya suggests that you tell him the next time you feel this way. He’ll stitch your skin, using a less-dangerous method to at least yield something pretty for your pain.

Ayato

– What the fuck? He might swear at the absurdity of your suggestion that the world is better off without you.

– He paces back and forth, scaring you further, but as soon as he realizes that he’s not helping, he grabs you in an embrace.

– “I fucking love you, and I would never recover if you left. We’ll get through this, okay? I’m not fucking going anywhere,” he growls in your ear.

Saiko

– She’s suspected this for a while, but hasn’t known what to do.

– She is not exactly surprised – she knew kids in the academy, and even family members, who had mental health issues.

– Suggests you find a new hobby to relax you instead of hurting yourself. Drawing? Watching anime with her? Just text her that you’re not feeling good and she will be there for you.

– She’s rooting for you all the way.

– Also writes/draws an entire manga of you metaphorically beating your mental-health demons.

Hinami

– she’s appalled, but Hinami is probably the kindest, gentlest person you could ask to discover your secret.

– She tells you about the despair she felt when her parents died, and that she’s struggled with the desire to stop the pain, too.

– She holds your hands the entire time until you’re stable, checks in on you daily, and is never judgmental. Her bright smile is contagious, and you consider that it might be worth living just to see her smile again.

i accidentally pronounced itami as vitami/vitamin so mb naki would do it and what’s everyone’s reaction would be like

OMG NAKI DEFINITELY WOULD.

Eto – falls to the floor and rolls around laughing.

Itami – too embarrassed to correct him.

Tatara – shakes his head in shame. He might be smiling under his mask.

Ayato – “is no one really going to say it? It’s Itami, not Vitami, you harebrain!”

Miza – OMG Naki why are you like this?

Hinami – I think Vitamin is a cute code name!

Takizawa Seidou – Gotta admit it’s funny, but hey, maybe that’s your real name too, since you’re apparently a TRAITOR TO CCG.

Rio – bahahahaha

Yumitsu Tomoe – off to collect on the people she had a running bet with that this would happen.

You know since Hinami want Kaneki to acknowledge her growth and important in her life. Can you created a scenario where Kaneki say all of this to her but at first she thought it was Ayato that and surprise when she look behind

Hinami gazes at the cement warehouse before them. It’s a simple design, abandoned long ago by its proper use.

And now it is swarming with V agents.

CCG and Goat members surround her. For another day, they will be led by Kaneki and Marude, fighting against the organization that sought to divide them.

Someone’s boots crunch the soil behind her. Their voice is muffled.

“Hinami, before we go in there…before we face V, I just want to tell you. I think you’ve grown so much as a person since your parents died. I think your parents would be proud of you. I know they would.”

HInami’s heart swells. “Thank you, Ayato.” She turns around, blushing, only to freeze when she sees Kaneki himself.

“Hi,” he says.

“Hi.” She throws her arms around him. Someone other than Ayato loves her? “Onii-chan…we began this journey together, remember?”

Kaneki nods.

“I’m glad you remember me…and I’m happy for you and Touka, I really am.” She smiles up at him, tears in her eyes. “So, in the words of my Mom…live.”

I saw that sw crossover reylo thing a while ago and found you again so I can’t resist asking to have some more. Maybe force skype with Hinami and Ayato post tlj?

😀 Love it!

“I can’t believe you almost attacked Touka,” Hinami snaps, shaking her head. She’s furious, sure, but grateful their bond hasn’t been severed.

“It was for Aogiri! For a better world than the one :Re is presiding over,” snaps Ayato. Hina has clearly chosen a blank room without windows to correspond with him. “I see you’ve reached a planet, at least.”

“No thanks to you.” Her eyes soften. “There’s still hope for you. I saw your future, Ayato, and I know it was you.”

“The future is never certain.” Ayato shakes his head. To be honest, he’s glad Touka and Yomo are alive. Even if that shitty Yomo gave him another beatdown before the rest of Aogiri. Seidou positively luxuriating in his humiliation.

“You can still come back,” Hinami says.

“I can’t. It’s too late for me.” Ayato blinks.

“Wait, so you know it’s wrong? That means it isn’t too late, Ayato. Are you happy as ruler? Is it anything you wanted other than than power to feel better about yourself? And you don’t even feel better about yourself.” Hinami says with tears in her eyes.

“Shut up!” Ayato cries. “It could have been everything I wanted, if you were here.”

“You’re glad I’m not.”

“Are you crazy?” Ayato glares at her. “I need you!”

“And I need you. The world doesn’t, but I do.” Hinami’s tears spill over her cheeks as she whispers, “Talk to you later.”

Their communication fades, and Ayato punches the wall, over and over and over…and still he feels worse.

How Anteiku comforts SO who just had a nightmare

Kaneki Ken – He will ask if they want to return to sleep or talk. If they choose the former, he’ll hold them tight and assure them he’ll protect them. If the latter, he’ll brew coffee and listen intently.

Kirishima Touka – She’ll say well that’s it for sleep. She’ll brew coffee and talk and keep they awake as they dissect their dreams.

Fueguchi Hinami – She will hug the nightmare out of them.

Nishiki Nishio – He’ll massage his SO as they either talk about it or talk about something else.

Nishino Kimi – She’ll probably psychoanalyze the dream to give her partner more control.

Yoshimura – He’ll assure his SO he will never, ever let something bad happen and tug them closer.

Koma Enji – He’ll listen to their nightmare, then make up funny endings and stories to get their mind off the dream.

Irimi Kaya – Will use her kagune to shield her SO. Pile blankets atop them. Make sure they feel secure enough to return to the land of slumber.

Yomo Renji – He will wait to see their response. Do they want to talk? If so, he’ll watch them with his serious eyes so they know he’s paying attention. If they just want to forget, he’ll allow it for now, but inwardly he’d be very sad that they had a nightmare, because he wishes he could take it away.

Uta – He’ll work on getting his SO to forget. Perhaps some hanky-panky or tickling.

The adventures of my odd brotps: Mutsutou, Haikarren, Mutsuhina, and Ayaurie.

Mutsutou

– Once Mutsuki and Touka reconciled, he first began to appreciate her as a mother figure before as a friend.

– Mutsuki apologized to Yomo, and Touka overheard. She then invited Mutsuki for a cup of coffee and entertained him with stories of Ken at Anteiku, and her wild past. That’s how they became besties.

– One night, Kaneki and Urie came home from a meeting to discover Touka and Mutsuki giggling over an empty bottle of blood wine (which does not hurt ghoul babies). They became alarmed before Touka opened her mouth and began to spill all the embarrassing Sasaki stories Mutsuki had told her. The two couples stayed up all night talking.

– Mutsuki accompanies Touka to any doctor appointments Kaneki can’t make, which is also how he became close to Hinami.

Haikarren

– Once, Karren and Hairu got wigs to look like each other’s hair. Tsukiyama and Ui were very confused and scared.

– Hairu took Karren out shopping for lingerie Shuu would like. It was fun for her, too, because Karren is very generous with the Tsukiyama’s money. Hairu bought plenty of outfits to make Ui faint.  She immediately texted a picture of him on the floor to Karren.

– Tsukiyama, of course, will not let Ui forget that.

– They both work for the Human-Ghoul alliance, and they make a devilish pair – hyper Hairu, dramatic Karren. No one is ever bored, not even the ghouls or humans arrested by them.

– Matsumae got to know Hairu through her friendship with Karren. She then forgave Hairu and once threatened Ui that if he hurt Hairu, she’d break the law to eat him.

– Karren had Hairu as her Maid of Honor, and vice versa.

Mutsuhina

– Hinami began the friendship. She held Mutsuki as he cried about his parents, and she gave him encouragement that there are good parents out there, too.

– Mucchy loves hearing stories about Hinami’s parents. Good parents are fairy tales to him.

– Hinami insisted on doing Mutsuki’s makeup for a double date with Urie and Ayato. Subtle, masculine makeup. Mutsuki was pleased. Urie was very flustered.

– They often high-five with their kagunes. Once Mutsuki even used his bikaku to copy Hinami’s kagune. She was flattered.

Ayaurie

– they are like two shaken soda bottles of chaos and salt.

– most conversations end with them yelling. Not due to fighting, just their personalities and PASSION.

– Their friendly greetings for each other include “Dumbass” and “imbecile.”

– Mutsuhinatou have had to shut them down more than once. Once by calling Kaneki, who threatened to break 206 bones between the two of them. But the second time…

– They invoked Saiko’s method. And forewarned the bois. But when Ayato and Urie responded with eagerness for boob attacks, it was not Mutsuki and Hinami who began to slowly pull up their shirts.

– The bois then began screaming for a different reason.
