Awwww I’m sorry. ❤ ❤ ❤ Hope this helps.
“Kaneki, let’s go out. I won’t leave until you agree!” begs Hide, blocking Kaneki’s path to class.
“I’m going to be late to Russian lit,” Kaneki says urgently.
“Dude, you’ve been skipping every class.” Hide shrugs. “In fact, you’ve been skipping so much you missed our professor’s announcement that today is cancelled.”
“Really?” Kaneki brightens.
“Yes. Now come have fun with me!” Hide drags Kaneki away from the building.
Half an hour later, they’re in a coffee shop sipping coffee.
“Wow, you’re up to black coffee,” Hide says in admiration. His latte is saturated in sugar.
Kaneki grins. “I guess I’ll never drive sugar and cream from you.”
“It’s not cream. It’s milk. It’s healthy!” Hide bangs the table. “I’m a growing boy.”
Kaneki laughs despite himself. He really needs to hang out with Hide more often. Hide does make him happy, despite his fears that Hide will find out.
“Let’s go to a bookstore. I want more comics.” Hide leaps to his feet as soon as they finish their coffee. His fingers brush Kaneki’s and Kaneki misses their warmth.
He dares to grab Hide’s hand. Fear immediately swamps him – what will Hide think?
Hide smiles back, clasping his hand in both of his. “You never have to fear me, Kaneki.”
