Suzuya and choses not to fight Touka please!

What do you mean this isn’t canon

Suzuya gasps. The ghoul he hit with the knife – she’s the – the one –

She brought Mr. Shinohara flowers!

But why? Is she like Sasaki, a nice ghoul?

She meets his eyes, dragging the knife out of her flesh.

Why do I have to kill her?

“Why did you do it?” Suzuya’s voice trembles. “Why did you bring him flowers?”

“Because no one deserves to die, of course!” Yotsume activates her kakugan, shoving Kirishima Touka behind her.

“But you kill us for food.”

“We don’t. We eat corpses, don’t you see?” Touka rasps. Her own ukaku flies out behind her. No way is she letting this kid – the one Kaneki spoke of so fondly – kill any of her kids here.

Her eyes fill with tears as she recognizes the quinque he wears. “Kaneki loved you, you know.”

Suzuya feels Arata restrict his movements. “What…”

“That’s my father’s armor,” Touka spits at him. “Good luck killing me with it. How would you like if I killed you with your precious Shinohara?”

But she didn’t kill him with Shinohara. She gave Mr. Shinohara flowers.

Her father…Arata is her father…Does she miss him, too?

“What are you waiting for?” bellows Furuta. His eyes gleam.

He knows what Arata is.

Suzuya  sends a knife straight into Furuta.

The director gags.

“Suzuya!” screams Hanbee.

“He’s tricking us!” Suzuya points at CCG’s Director. “Capture him!”

“What – you – no!” cries Furuta, but Keijin and Mizurou are already on it.

“We’re going to talk this out,” Suzuya decides.

Hi! Hope you’re having a nice day! I’m the one who is always asking for platonic Suzuhan I have an Au where they are dance partners (it all started with sia’s music video elastic heart)

Oooh me likey. I think they’d be awesome dance partners.

Suzuya hates dancing. Actually, that’s not true. He loves it, and he loves the annual CCG balls because he can eat all the sweets he wants for free and dance like crazy.

But then they all look at him like he really is crazy, and parents pull their children away, and he hates that.

So today he’s standing by the table instead of the dance floor, stuffing his face with gooey brownies.

“Don’t make yourself sick.” Hanbee Abara comes over.

Suzuya swallows a mouthful. “Uh.” He did teach Hanbee how to dance in their house.

How to crazy dance.

Hanbee holds out his hand. “Keijin told me to formally ask like this.”

Suzuya giggles. Hanbee is too tall to look graceful dancing. Really, he was the perfect partner to train with.

“Come on.” Hanbee pouts. “You, uh, can’t just teach me and desert me.”

Suzuya gasps. “A leader never deserts his partners!”

“I know.” Hanbee drags him out onto the floor. His face is already red. What will they think? He’s a terrible dancer.

But they won’t think of him at all. They’ll only see Suzuya.

He hopes they don’t judge Suzuya if they see a second investigator dancing like a monkey.

The music starts, and the dance begins.

Juuzou Suzuya is such a cute Squad leader Sometimes he likes to dress up girly because…why not? I headcanon that he actually doesn’t give a fuck about gender roles.

I headcanon the same and love him even more for it.

Hanbee stops short.

“Huh?” Miyuki Mikage peers around the beanstalk. “Oh my.”

“He looks great,” Keijin Nakarai commands.

Suzuya Juuzou, Squad Leader, waves at them. He’s dressed in a pink skirt and lacy shirt. “Hairu lent these to me.”

“They look great,” Mizurou Tamaki assures him.

“We should all wear skirts. They’re so comfortable,” Suzuya muses, rubbing the fabric between his fingers.

“What a freak!” Two teenage boys scuttle past, shivering at the sight of Suzuya.

Hanbee’s cheeks purple, and Keijin unconsciously reaches for his quinque.

“You should try it,” Suzuya sings to them. “Wear what you want, not what everyone says you should want.”

One boy scowls. “I already do.”

His friend looks somewhat wistfully at the skirt. “You know, I did used to wear skirts when I was all of four.”

“And isn’t growing up such a bore?” Suzuya asks.

“It’s great,” the boy says uncertainly.

“Nah, son. Enjoy your youth – and that includes dressing how you want.” Mikage gives them a thumbs-up.

“How do you do that to your skin? Are those real?” The first boy points at Suzuya’s stitches.

“Yup,” Suzuya says proudly. “Want me to show you how?”

Three hours later, Squad Suzuya is happy with their two new friends – and they’re all watching movies and stitching themselves. In skirts.

Hi! I loved the cute fluff betwen Hanbee and Juuzou Can I ask you more about Suzuya squad please!!

Yes! Yes you can!

“What are you scared about now?” Keijin Nakarai crosses his arms. Hanbee Abara’s eyes are huge. With a trembling hand, be points behind Keijin.

Keijin whirls around to see – not ghouls – oh!

Blasts of water hit him dead in both eyes. Another, his mouth.

“All right!” cheers Suzuya Juuzou, waving around his water gun.

Mizurou Tamaki high-fives their leader. “Target neutralized.”

“What are you doing?” Keijin spits up water.

“It’s hot. We’re having a water fight.” Suzuya jumps up and down.

“Here.” Miyuki Mikage tosses two water-filled balloons at Hanbee. They explode against his chest. “You’re too big to miss.”

“That’s it!” Hanbee cries, grappling for Mizurou’s gun.

“Catch us if you can!” Suzuya and Mikage race into the backyard.

“I want my vengeance!” shrieks Keijin. He decides to embrace today and all the glory his crazy, lovely leader has planned. He runs after Suzuya, and finds himself spinning on a Slip N’Slide straight into Suzuya.

“Here’s a gun.” Suzuya sighs dramatically and hands him a loaded water pistol. He kinda prefers these to real Rc guns, anyways.

“Thank you for ensuring your squad is properly prepared.” Keijin aims at Hanbee, who’s become the Slip N’Slide’s newest victim.

“No fair!” Hanbee wails, but then Mikage hands him a water balloon, and it’s game on.

When the Quinx Squad drops by, they’re surprised to see a lake in the backyard and the entire Suzuya Squad lying out of breath, half-naked in the sun.

After that Mulan-Mutsurie mashup, I dare you to write Disney-film mashups for: Ayahina, Touken, Takirona, Akiramon, Uihai, Nishikimi, Tsukikana, Arieto, and Shiraiko. Ty and good night.

I love you, Nonny-Mouse. I’ll be posting these once a day (probably) until the list is done!

Mulan/Mutsurie Mashup: Here

Sleeping Beauty/Ayahina

Ayato and his posse of underworld fighters gape at the wriggling kagune. It impales two ghouls and throws them into flames. It breathes fire like a dragon. Several CCG investigators fall back, screaming and rolling on the ground as they roast alive.

The CCG director laughs behind it. “Now you’re all going to die!”

The reaper Ayato was fighting hesitates. He’s not surprised that this was all a plot; in fact, he almost looked relieved.

“Truce until we wreck that?”

“You bastard!” Touka charges at him. “Hinami’s back there!”

Ayato’s blood boils. “What?!”

“I didn’t – I didn’t know – we have to let her go!” The investigator clutches his scythe. “She’s probably dead.”

“Oh hell no.” Ayato did not bring up reinforcements to save the day just to lose Hinami,

“Ayato, she’s halved,” Touka says, tears in her eyes.

Ayato punches the investigator straight in the face.

“Stop, he used to be Kaneki’s friend!” cries Touka.

“I don’t fucking care.” Ayato whirls around, but kagune brambles are already filling up the path between he and Hinami.

“We’re going to help!” Touka, Investigator Suzuya, and a tall, nervous investigator run after Ayato.

Ayato fires Rc shards over and over. The kagune springs forth an undead mass of flesh that grabs Ayato, but the tall investigator quickly dispatches it.

“No!” gasps Furuta when he sees Ayato nearing him. He leaps forward.

Suzuya, Hanbee, and those loathsome Kirshimia halt.

“Now you shall have to deal with me, sweet prince,” Furuta taunts. Doubtless the boy is concerned for the barely-alive Yotsume behind him. “And all the powers of hell!”

In a blast that sends Suzuya tumbling back, the kagune dragon reattaches itself to Furuta. He grows and grows, until his full kakuja is displayed in all its reptilian inglory.

Hanbee screams, and the dragon lunges straight for Ayato. He narrowly avoids it, but fire quickly surrounds his three companions.

“This way!” Touka waves him into a nearby tunnel, and Suzuya grabs his arm before another blast of fire.

“We need a plan.”

“We’ll distract him. Rabbit, go.” Suzuya hands Ayato an Rc-suppressant tinged knife.

Suzuya, Hanbee, and Touka leap out of the tunnel. Fire shoots at them, and they’re slowly losing ground.

With a scream, Ayato uses his ukaku to fly straight for Furuta’s heart. He aims the knife and hurls it.

Furuta shrieks, and his kakuja begins to dissipate. It melts off his skin like the reptile he is, and when he regains consciousness, he will find himself too full of suppressants to protest.

Ayato, however, dashes for Hinami. She’s regenerating half her body and barely conscious. “Hina, Hina, it’s all right. I’m here.”

Tears prick his eyes, but he knows what to do. He’s seen it time and again with Aogiri.

Ayato grabs her lower half and presses it against her midsection. Slowly, bonds began reforming.

Hinami opens her eyes to Ayato’s desperate lips on hers.

Suzuya and Hanbee at home alone (the rest of the squad is busy) , Suzuya suggests to watch a horror movie and Hanbee is scared af. Lots of fluff pleeaseee (I don’t ship them but they are soo cute in a platonic way)

Ooooh yessssss.

Twilight dims. The streets are covered with fog.

“Ooh, it’s kinda creepy.” Suzuya peers out their window. “Hanbee, you know what we should do?”

“What?” Hanbee looks up from his reading with apprehension.

“Do you want to watch ‘It?’” Suzuya smiles. “We make popcorn and get scared.”

Hanbee is happy to share popcorn with his leader, but he feels mild apprehension at the movie suggestion. “Is it a horror movie?”

“Kind of. It’s about a gang of misfits who team up to defeat a killer clown. Like us!” Suzuya beams at Hanbee. He won’t forget how Hanbee saved him during the clown siege, when that ghoul took on Mr. Shinohara’s face.

As soon as they start the movie, Hanbee squeals and slides closer to his squad leader.

“Hanbee, nothing’s happened yet,” Suzuya comments.

“I’m scared already,” he admits.

“You’re silly.” Suzuya shoves popcorn into Hanbee’s mouth.

Hanbee clutches Suzuya and screams at the opening scene, and Suzuya starts giggling. “Okay, would it be better for be to bring my quinque out?”

Hanbee hangs his head. “Yes, please.”

He’s expecting ghouls around every corner. Behind the couch, even.

Suzuya skips back into the room, Jason in one hand, a blanket in another. “I’ll protect my team.”

“And we’ll p-p-protect you,” Hanbee stammers, wrapping his arms around Suzuya again.

“Your hands are shaking.” Suzuya pelts Hanbee with popcorn as he places the blanket over their shoulders.

Hanbee throws back a single kernel, and of course Suzuya catches it in his mouth. “Nom.”

“You seem oddly happy for such a horrifying story.”

Suzuya smiles. “I’ve always wanted to do this. Watch scary movies with my friends and stuff myself on buttered popcorn.”

Hanbee squeezes Suzuya. Friends. Coworkers, yes, but friends too.

And then he has to shriek again.

Juuzou finds out that Shinohara si Dead and Hanbee conforts him? Suzuhan in the most fluffy and platonic way please please please!!

Suzuhan? Yes yes yes!!

“I was thinking,” Suzuya begins, “I should go visit Mr. Shinohara again. Because I haven’t wanted to. Because I hate seeing him like that. But he hated seeing me in pain, and he didn’t leave me.” He clenches his jaw. “So I’ll go.”

Hanbee and Mizurou exchange glances.

“Suzuya,” Hanbee says softly.

“What?” Suzuya’s eyes are so innocent.

“Mr. Shinohara – he passed three days ago,” says Mizurou.

Suzuya starts. “What?”

His lower lip trembles, but he says nothing else before turning and running out of CCG.

“I’ve got this.” Hanbee rushes out. He thinks he knows what to say, and he needs to act before he questions himself.

He finds Suzuya on a park bench, his small shoulders shaking.

Mr. Shinohara made him feel warm and safe and happy. Mr. Shinohara was his dad, really.

And now his father is dead.

And he died for him.

Suzuya looks up as Hanbee looms nearer. “I – I wish it had been me.”

“I don’t,” Hanbee admits. “I wish it would not have happened at all.”

He hesitates. “May I sit down?”

Suzuya nods, and Hanbee settles beside him. “You know, I was completely unfit to be an investigator.” He swallows. “But you – your example – your mentorship – made me into the more dependable person I am today.”

“We had different vices, but I think you went through something similar with Mr. Shinohara. I can’t imagine losing you, so I can’t comfort you adequately – but for what it’s worth, you are everything he would have wanted for you.” Hanbee shivers. “Does that make sense?”

Suzuya nods, tears dribbling down his face. “Thank you, Hanbee.”

Hanbee squeezes his small leader and lets him sob into his shoulders. “You’re very loved, you know.”

“Mr. Shinohara taught me love.” Suzuya looks up. “And I loved him too. Just like I love you all.”

The Suzuya squad at the zoo please?????

Oh, this is adorable!!!

“But do we have to? Animals are so…terrestrial,” Miyuki Mikage says.

“Of course we do,” snaps Keijin Nakarai. Suzuya deserves a happy day.

“Are we all set?” Suzuya Juuzou bounds up to his squad. “Let’s go!”

As soon as they enter the zoo, Suzuya makes a beeline for the giraffes. “Look!”

He points up at them. His face is wonderstruck, and Hanbee has to suspect Suzuya assigns a special meaning to giraffes.

Suzuya giggles. “They’re about your heigh, Hanbee.”

Hanbee’s mouth drops open, and Mizurou Tamaki elbows him. “He’s not wrong.”

“What’s your favorite animal?” Suzuya looks at his squad. “I need to know.”

“Follow me.” Mizurou waves them forward. When he leads them into the bird  house to join towards parrots, Suzuya thinks he probably should have expected as much.

“Of course you like the colors,” Mikage teases.

“I do!” Mizurou sticks his nose in the air.

“Who’s next?” Suzuya trembles with eagerness.

“I like the tigers,” Keijin admits. Someday, his dream is to hug one even if it kills him.

“Snakes,” Mikage says dreamily. “I like whatever frightens people.”

“Ew!” Hanbee frowns. “I hate snakes.”

“Well, we’re seeing them anyway. You’ll get used to it.” Suzuya leads his men to the tiger exhibition, where he unexpectedly has to play adult and hold Keijin back from climbing over the walls, and then to the snakes.

Hanbee is visibly sweating as a cobra lifts its head for him.

“Oh, it likes you,” Keijin says.

“I don’t return its feelings.”

“Too bad.” Suzuya waves at the snake, as if he could communicate with it. “So what kind of animal do you like, Hanbee?”

Hanbee’s face reddens. The truth is he likes tame dogs, the Shiba Inus and the Corgis.

But he still guides them to his second-favorite animal.

Suzuya screams. “What is it?”

“A red panda.”

“It looks like a fat fox.” Suzuya is leaning precariously over the fence.

If he falls in, thinks Keijin, we all might have to jump in and rescue him

He elects not to warn his leader.

But he probably should have, because Suzuya does fall in, and Hanbee leaps over the fence to rescue him.

It probably isn’t necessary for the rest of them to join the rescue mission, but they all do, and from the infuriated eyes of the security guards, it’s obvious why.

It’s still worth it, even when they’re kicked out. Because Suzuya continues to whisper, “I patted it,” and Hanbee is glowing that his Squad Leader is happy.

Shinohara wakes up.

Oh this hurts –

“We really, really need you to come to the hospital today,” says Keijin, accompanied by the rest of Suzuya Squad. He was the only one who dared to start the conversation.

Suzuya stiffens. “Why?”

Is Mr. Shinohara dying? Is he already gone? Has Juuzou failed him again?

“The doctors think he’s going to wake up.” Hanbee says, flashing Suzuya a reassuring smile.

Suzuya’s eyes morph into saucers. And then his squad – his family – leads him on.

When he gets to the room – of course he never forgot the number – Suzuya draws back. What if Mr. Shinohara doesn’t remember him? Or recognize him with black hair? What if he hates him for taking him from his family for so many years?

Hanbee puts a hand on Suzuya’s shoulder, and Mikage pokes his back.

His Squad is here. They don’t blame him and they even like him with black hair.

So he moves forward, into the room.

He sees Shinohara’s wife and kids first. They’re smiling – then – that must –

Mr. Shinohara sits upright on his bed, his eyes wide at the sight of Juuzou.

For a moment, mentor and mentee stare at each other.

Then Mr. Shinohara opens his arms, and Suzuya flings himself into them.

Shinohara sees tears running down Juuzou’s face, and a proud squad standing behind his kid.

“I missed you,” Suzuya sobs.

“I missed you too.” Shinohara leans back. There’s so much to discuss – years of change, literally – but he needs to bring up the past once more. “I never got to tell you how proud I am of you.”
