Someone asked for Suzuhan and it wasn’t me. Wow! I need them in my life they are so precious and I still can’t figure out why Hanbee pictured Juuzou as the bride :”) Thank you for all those cute scenarios! But now I’d like to read some angst :”

Hehe, I love angst.

“We’re murderers,” slurs Hanbee as the medics rush him to CCG’s hospital.

“I know. We hurt Haise.” Suzuya squirms. He’s accustomed to being a monster, but Hanee isn’t. Not even now.

I had to kill Haise.

“I can’t die.” Hanbee squeezes his hand. “I love you. You…took a chance on me and never gave up and I love you for that.”

Suzuya freezes. The shattering in his heart, the desire to protect, to die before him, the need to throw himself sobbing across Hanbee – is this mess called love?

“Don’t give up on yourself yet.” Suzuya watches as his friend is wheeled into surgery.

He wishes Mr. Shinohara were here. To advise him.

I love him. Suzuya trembles. He can’t wait to tell Hanbee.

Suzuya paces in the hallway. Hanbee will live. He has to.

He doesn’t even notice the kagune razing Tokyo.

When Dr. Kanou appears to tell him Hanbee is stable, Suzuya shoves past him. He rushes to Hanbee’s bedside.

In an hour, Hanbee opens his eyes.

One of them has a black cornea and a red iris.

Suzuya’s panicking inside, but he forces a smile on his face. “How are you?”

After all the blows he got in the face Hanbee goes blind ad Juuzou feels guilty for that.

“You’re uncharacteristically silent.” Hanbee knows Suzuya is here, in the hospital chair besides him. But all he sees is darkness.

“Sorry,” Suzuya says quickly.

“What are you sorry for?” Hanbee laughs.

Suzuya laughs too, nervously.

“You feel responsible, don’t you?” Hanbee squints at Suzuya, as if that will help his vision. It’s a habit he can afford to lose now. “You feel like you ought to have protected me.”

“I should have – sacrificed like Mr. Shinohara!” Suzuya balls his hands into fists.

“No!” Hanbee cries. “No, please. Suzuya, I want you alive and responsive. Suzuya…the truth is, in that fight, I sacrificed myself. For you.”

“What?” Suzuya whispers.

“I was … ready to die, if it meant your victory.” Hanbee swallows. “I’m glad I’m alive, you know, but I don’t regret it.”

“Hanbee!” Suzuya tackles him in a hug. “Why? Why? You’re special yourself, you know.”

“You’re special, too. To everyone, and especially to me.” Hanbee reaches to pat Suzuya’s head, but he misses and nearly pokes out his leader’s eye.

Suzuya giggles and guides his friend’s large hands to his hair.

Suzuya squad is love suzuhan is life

Keijin Nakarai holds his head high as he escorts a bouquet-clasping Miyuki Mikage down the aisle. Mizurou Tamaki follows, throwing flowers every which way.

Hanbee’s face is already red by the time the music swells and the church doors sweep open.

Suzuya, dressed in a lace white suit and accompanied by a proud Shinohara, walks down the aisle humming in tune with the music. Hanbee can see tears in Shinohara’s eyes as Suzuya grasps Hanbee’s hands.

Kaneki clears his throat and prepares to read their vows.

Suzuya beams at Hanbee, and he’s positive he’s never been this happy before.

I don’t know if you take requests but I love your writing style and it would be awesome if you would write a suzuhan scenario. If. It no problem;)

I love Suzuhan! 😀 Thank you for asking, Nonny-Mouse!

“Hanbee, I’ve lost Haise. What if we lose Shinohara too?” Suzuya rocks back and forth. “I can’t stand this.”

“You’ll still have us,” Hanbee says quietly. “We love you.”

Suzuya looks up, tears in his eyes. “I know, and I love you all.”

“Are you excited for Takeomi’s wedding?” Hanbee leans back to stare at the sky. He can’t stop picturing Suzuya in a wedding dress. And himself as the groom – no, dammit, now his cheeks are red!

“I’m excited for the candy.” Suzuya giggles.

“Of course you are.” Hanbee winks.

“What else are you thinking about? Your face is all sweaty.” Suzuya wipes his hand against Hanbee’s forehead.

Hanbee turns crimson. “N – nothing.”

“Hanbeeeeeeee. Don’t lie to me. I’m your leader.” Suzuya pouts.

“I bet you’d look really nice getting married,” Hanbee blurts. “That’s all.”

Suzuya blinks. “Me? I never…you know…I never really thought I could get married.”

“Marriages don’t always have to be for kids, or between men and women.” Hanbee laughs.

“Do you like men?” Suzuya is surprised.

“Yes.” Hanbee lowers his eyes.

“That’s cute.” Suzuya hugs him. “Wait, do you like someone in particular? Is it someone I know? Can I help you with it? Hanbee, tell me.”

“No, definitely not!”

Suzuya tickles him. Hanbee screams.

“All right, all right, it’s you! I like you, Suzuya Juuzou!” He chokes on his own words. He wants to run away and vanish.

Suzuya’s mouth falls open. “Me?”

“I’m sorry – I don’t mean to make things awkward – I’m not very smart, you know -”

Suzuya smashes his lips against Hanbee’s. “How’s that?”

“Huh?”

“Well, you’re a really good friend, and I think you’re attractive, so why not?” Suzuya smiles up at him. “You make me happy.”

Hanbee nearly faints as Suzuya kisses him again.

Can you please write about the Suzuya squad family? We know that they all live togheter in the 13 ward

I can always write for Suzuya Squad, Nonny-Mouse.

“Are we ready?” Suzuya Juuzou whispers.

“All set.” Miyuki Mikage holds up string and a funnel, while Mizorou Tamaki motions to his pile of shaving cream and balloons.

Suzuya giggles, but claps a hand over his mouth when he hears Hanbee Abara stirring inside the room.

“Let’s do this.” Suzuya leaps onto Mikage’s shoulders to tape the funnel above the door. An empty balloon is tied around the funnel, and the remaining string wrapped around the door. Mizurou hands him a water bottle to fill the funnel, and then they’re on to Keijin Nakarai’s room.

Once the shaving cream and balloons are set, the pranksters huddle in the hallway. They still have an hour before their friends are due to awake, but Suzuya is already threatening their plan with his uncontrolled laughter.

“What’s going on?” Keijin asks sleepily. They hear his feet padding towards the door.

Suzuya straightens. Mikage rubs his palms together, and Mizurou puts his phone on video.

“Huh?” Keijin notices the string, as Suzuya expected. But curiosity wins out; he still pulls, and promptly shrieks as shaving cream erupts onto his face and into his open mouth.

“Ghouls!” They hear Hanbee scampering for his door. He throws it open, clad only in boxers.

Ice water douses him. Hanbee’s scream reaches a pitch Suzuya’s not sure mankind has heard before.

“Pah! You dirty bastards!” Keijin spits out the shaving cream.

“Suzuya!” Hanbee is rather embarrassed at his nearly naked appearance.

“This means war!” Keijin shakes his fist. “Hanbee, we’ll get them back!”

Suzuya is laughing so hard he’s rolling on the floor, and Mikage has tears streaming down his cheeks.

“Don’t worry, I’ll only send the video to all the ladies, Hanbee.” Mizurou snaps his phone shut.

Hanbee screams again.

Stumbled upon your blog and your writing is fantastic, please keep them coming! It eases my heart reading your posts and distracts me from the events that happened in latest chapter. :’D And if you’re still taking scenerios, may I request something really angsty between :Re Juuzou and Seidou? Enemy otp/rival/etc as odd as that sounds XD

Aw thank you. We all need a distraction after recent events.

“Thought you were gonna be a top investigator, Seidou!” Suzuya Juuzou yells. He has Jason in his hands, Arata over his body. But to strike – to take the blow that even Akira couldn’t take –

“I thought you were gonna be different for Mr. Shinohara, hmm?” Takizawa Seidou grins. “Move on from your experience, stop killing for orders. Kill for justice if necessary. What happened?”

He feels sick. He, of all people, now knows what Suzuya endured at the hands of ghouls.

But his greatest anguish is himself, who used to be a human, and Kanou, who was a human.

How many ghouls have Suzuya as their greatest anguish?

“You’re a ghoul.” Suzuya raises Jason.

“But I was a human. Do you think I chose this? Did you choose to be in the restaurant?” Takizawa throws back his head and laughs. “You just tried to kill your friend Kaneki, right? Are people that disposable to you? Maybe it’s chance that I was taken by Aogiri and Mr. Shinohara was not. What would you do then?”

Suzuya glowers at him. “Don’t you dare.”

No, no – he can’t picture Mr. Shinohara as a ghoul. That could never happen.

“I will dare. I have to. It’s my life, and I’m not done with it yet.” Seidou bares his teeth.

“Shut up!” Suzuya breaks first, to Seidou’s relief.

“Squad Leader,” gasps Hanbee.

“Shut up, you.” Seidou throws himself towards Suzuya, who prepares to swing Jason –

But Amon Koutarou and Mado Akira leap into the fray. In a matter of seconds, Amon’s kakuja has demolished Suzuya Squad.

“Well. Good work, Seidou. Now let’s cuff them and take them to the merciful ghouls.” Akira snaps her fingers. Seidou’s face lights at her praise.

Suzuhan on the snow!

“Hanbee, the snow is up to my waist,” Suzuya complains. Tokyo hasn’t gotten snow like this since, well, forever.

“Do you want me to carry you?” Hanbee knows the answer before he even asks.

“Yes!” Suzuya smiles mischievously. As soon as Hanbee lifts him, he topples them both into the fluffy powder.

“Snow angels!” Suzuya moves his arms, but the snow is too thick. It falls atop him.

“Suzuya!” Hanbee gasps, digging out his giggling leader.

“Let’s make a snowman! Please?” Suzuya gives Hanbee his saddest eyes.

Hanbee smiles, warm despite the snow. Suzuya has special faces he only makes for Hanbee, and Hanbee treasures every one.

Hanbee rolls a snowball larger and larger. Soon the snowman is as tall as he. Suzuya even parts with his candy to give it eyes and a mouth. “Let’s name it Suzuhan.”

“I like it.” Hanbee blushes, and Suzuya tackles him to warm his mouth with a kiss.

When Suzuya and Hanbee enter their Squad apartment, soaking wet and shivering yet flushed, Keijin Nakarai just shakes his head.

Suzuya has a flashback to his days as Rei and is comforted by his squad.

TW for PTSD.

“You’re an artist,” a CCG Investigator says, admiring Suzuya’s efficiently slain victims.

Suzuya pauses.

“He’s an artist already.”

“Rei-chan, you did so well. You get … fifty good boy points!”

Hanbee Abara frowns as Suzuya slips away without saying anything. He’s seen that blank expression before, and usually it ends with Suzuya crying alone in his room. Suzuya thinks his squad doesn’t hear, but they do.

“No one out there will want you, but I do.” Big Madam rubs his hair as he doubles over in pain. Blood seeps out from between his thighs. “Such a good little girl.”

“I don’t want to be a girl,” he whispers to himself.

“Suzuya?” Keijin Nakarai approaches hesitantly.

Suzuya stares at the ground. “I wanted to see the giraffes.”

“Hey.” Mizurou Tamaki snaps his fingers. “Back to present, Suzuya. We’re here.”

“Huh?” Suzuya raises his head.

“Are you okay?” Miyuki Mikage wants to hug him, but he’s not sure physical contact is what Suzuya needs.

“I’m a bad boy,” he says, beginning to cry. “Rei.”

“No. No, you’re not.” Keijin grabs their leader and wrestles him into an embrace. “You’re Juuzou.”

“And we like your name,” says Mikage.

“And we like you,” adds Hanbee, joining the hug.

“We think of you as a good, strong leader boy,” says Mizurou.

“We love you, Suzuya,” Hanbee says.

Suzuya sniffles. His eyes are wide. “Do you?”

“Yes,” declares Keijin.

“I love you all, too.” Suzuya begins to sob. “Can you just – hold me – I miss Shinohara, and sometimes I miss Big Madam – and sometimes I hate myself -”

“We know, we know.” Keijin rocks Suzuya back and forth.

“There’s nothing that’s been done to you that takes away your value,” Mizurou assures Suzuya.

“We love you,” Hanbee repeats. It’s all he can say.

But Suzuya smiles, even if ever so weakly, and Hanbee thinks maybe it’s enough.

Nakarai dates a ghoul to everyone’s shock including his own

At last, Nakarai gets some love!

image

“Hi there.”

Keijin Nakarai can’t help but smile. His little friend waits for him outside CCG, hopping impatiently from one foot to another.

“Have fun.” Suzuya shoves his friend towards his lover. Just this afternoon, Miyuki Mikage had gotten Nakarai to confess his love for [Name], and Suzuya desperately wanted to see this confession.

Mizurou Tamaki shoots Nakarai a wicked grin.

“I brought binoculars. We could go to the park for bird watching,” says [Name], seizing his hand.

Keijin smiles. [Name] is perfect. “Let’s go.”

Suzuya pouts as they leave. He wanted that damn confession!

Twilight falls at the park, and Keijin is so consumed with watching [Name] he forgets about the birds.

“You aren’t even paying attention, silly.” [Name] giggles.

“Of course I am!” He snatches the binoculars to look at an owl.

The leaves rustle behind them. [Name] gasps.

“Nakarai!” yells [Name]. In a flash, they shove him aside. A tentacled kagune rips through their throat.

Gagging, they fall to the ground in a fountain of blood.

“No!” Nakarai screams. He whips out Right and Left to stab the ghoul through its stomach, then opens its own throat.

With his enemy incapacitated, he whirls around [Name], who lies curled up on the ground. Their eyes are shut. Their hands grip their neck.

“Suzuya, please,” he begs, dialing the emergency squad number on his phone. “[Name], let me look. I’ve got you.”

They shove him away with a gasp.

“Come on.” Nakarai assumes blood loss has addled their brain. “I can’t let you die. I – I love you – I was going to tell you tonight.”

He pulls back their hands – to reveal a bloodstained neck that’s already healed.

“H – how…”

[Name] opens their eyes to reveal two kakugans. Their face crumbles, and they know their friends were right, that they were a fool who would only hurt him.

A CCG investigator and a ghoul can never be together.

“[Name]?” Keijin grips his quinque, and they cry out.

“Please don’t.”

Keijin can’t. He remembers all the meals they shared, all the laughter and kisses and that evening last month when they first made love.

Their eyes widen and suddenly they scramble back, pressing themselves into the park bench as if maybe they can be absorbed.

Keijin sees Suzuya there, Jason aloft, with Hanbee, Mikage, and Mizurou behind him.

Suzuya looks stunned. “They’re…”

“I love you,” [Name] whimpers. Their tears come faster. If Nakarai is going to kill them, he has to know their feelings were real.

“[Name] saved my life.” Nakarai pales. Can he really kill them?

Suzuya doesn’t want to hurt Nakarai’s friend. But this is their job. Unless…

“Ownership rights,” Suzuya whispers.

Nakarai gasps with relief. Yes, of course! “I request ownership rights over this ghoul.”

As [Name] is hauled to their feet and Rc suppressants are shoved into their body, as they head off to a prison and interrogations they can’t image, they cling to the relief on Nakarai’s face.

They know he loves them, too. There is hope.

Battle rages around, and Suzuya Juuzou is bored.

He’s seen enough slaughter. Right now he’d prefer to see the returned Mr. Shinohara – life restored – rather than witness demise after demise.

“Retreat!” shouts Furuta, and the squadrons begin backing down the tunnels.

Kirishima launches towards him, and Hanbee Abara gasps. She’s the one who left Mr. Shinohara flowers. He remembers her.

“Kill her!” screams Furuta, but Hanbee can’t. This is more than hesitation; this is refusal.

Before Suzuya can think, he hurls himself before Hanbee. He tries to hurtle a knife, but Hanbee knocks him back. “I -”

Suzuya stares at him, and Kirishima pauses.

“Go!” Hanbee cries.

Suzuya begins to shake. Why –

“Arrest him!” spits Furuta, and Hanbee is knocked to the ground before Suzuya.  His arms are twisted behind him, and to Suzuya’s dismay, tears stream down his cheeks.

Now Suzuya hesitates, but Miyuki Mikage runs up to grab him.

Suzuya stays, head hanging, as the ghouls flee and Hanbee is shackled. First Mado, now Hanbee.

Was he too soft a leader? Is this all his fault?

————————————————————

Suzuya feels ill. He ought to give up. Mr. Shinohara has been chosen to carry out Hanbee’s execution before Tokyo, and he can see the pain in the dead man’s eyes, but that won’t stop him.

“Suzuya, if Hanbee were here right now, he’d tell you to avoid being like him. To say what you’re thinking,” Mizurou Tamaki says.

“You know Hanbee had a reason. He only acts for you, after all.” Mikage stares at Suzuya.

Suzuya stands. For once in his life, he knows what to do.

———————————————————–

“We’ve got to rescue that investigator,” declares Hinami later in their crowded conference room. They held off an invasion, so now it’s time to go on the offensive.

“How?” Touka scowls. It’s all her fault – she knows he recognized her. “That’d be stupid.”

“We’ll mount a rescue. For him and Yoriko. That’s her name, right?” Tsukiyama eyes Touka. He skims Suzuya’s note one more time. The little Arima seems sincere. How quaint.

Kaneki Ken draws himself up. “Prepare for another battle.”

But Kaneki doesn’t really want another battle. Is the death of all I love carried in the drumming of war?

———————————————————–

Shinohara Yukinori does not want to kill Hanbee. He loves the tall, awkward man who follows his son. He didn’t come back from a coma to kill humans.

But Hanbee has violated CCG – violated humanity. Life demands his blood.

Hanbee is tied to a post, helpless but defiant. He only concern is the effect this will have on Suzuya.

Across the square, masked ghouls appear. Their kagunes spread wide across the street. The Centipede leads them.

Shinohara raises his quinque.

“No!” Suzuya leaps forward from the crowd to wrap his small body around Hanbee as best he can. “If you kill him, you’ll have to kill me too.”

“Suzuya.” Shinohara is terrified for him. “Stand back.”

“I won’t! I love him! And I love them!” Suzuya points at Kaneki. “Look around you – this is the path that hatred has brought us. The path of Big Madam and the arena. Look around you. You gave me a second chance and now you have yours; you can do differently.” Suzuya’s voice breaks.

Shinohara stares at him. His eyes moisten, and he sees the child he raised. He raised Suzuya to this moment of defiance. Suzuya is everything he wanted for him, and more.

Shinohara’s voice rings out. “From this day forward, if there is to be more killing, it will not start with me.”

Furuta leaps forward and aims Rotten Fellow.

“No!” Hanbee will not let Suzuya’s father die again. He launches himself in the path of Rotten Fellow.

“Hanbee!” screams Suzuya, and he hears Kaneki scream, “Suzuya!”

Both men fall atop Shinohara, their abdomens split open.

“You rotten fellow!” Itou Kuramoto yells at Furuta.

“You’re the real scourge!”  Yonebayashi Saiko joins in.

“They’re traitors!” Furuta protests.

“Are they? Or are you, Washuu?” Kaneki Ken strides across the square to hold Suzuya and Hanbee’s stomachs shut with his own kakuja.

Kirishima Touka fires an Rc bullet into the director’s head.

When he doesn’t die, Kuriowa Iwao raises his voice. “He’s a ghoul! Capture him.”

“Suzuya, hang on.” Shinohara’s blurry face looks down at him. “You are both important.”

Suzuya winces. “I’ve had worse.”

“I haven’t,” Hanbee mutters.

“Why did you save her?” Suzuya whispers. His heart shudders. Is this what it means to die?

“Because she gave Mr. Shinohara the flowers,” Hanbee says. His hand reaches out to squeeze Suzuya’s.

“They’ll live,” Kaneki assures Mr. Shinohara as Suzuya loses consciousness. “With Banjou’s Rc treatment followed by suppressants.”

“They better, sir,” says Shinohara.
