higetori angst

Higemaru tries not to scream. Once again, he’s the helpless puppet of Donato Porpora.

Only this time, he did it for her. For Hakatori. He shoved her out of the Priest’s way, and now Donato has him on his knees.

“Hmm, shall I pick up where I left off last time?” Donato purrs.

“Urie’s not here,” Higemaru mutters.

“Yes, he’s not here to turn full ghoul and save you. Hypocrites.” Donato’s eyes flash. “Urie’s father cost me my son. So I can take his son’s son. Of a sort.”

Not again. Higemaru flinches as Donato’s hands tighten on his shoulder.

“The fuck?” Hakatori holds her quinques aloft, along with her bikaku. CCG and ghouls alike assemble behind her. The entire team sent to take down the Priest, save one.

“He’s my friend. Let him go.”

Donato chuckles. “You’re an interesting one. The Bin brothers’ protege, correct? I like you.”

“Thank you,” Hakatori says patiently. “Now release my friend.”

“I’m sorry, but I just can’t do that.”

Hakatori rolls her eyes. “Pretty sure you can.”

“He’s a pretty thing. Do you like him?” Donato asks.

Hakatori starts. Well, why not? “He’s my boyfriend.”

“What?” shouts a CCG member. Another ghoul hisses. This sort of mixing – it was okay for the scientist and the ghoul, and the half-ghoul Kaneki and his wife, people with questionable loyalties at best, but a Quinx and an Aogiri member?

“Yes, a Quinx and a ghoul are dating, get over it,” Hakatori says irritably.

“Hmm, now I’m almost curious who will kill him first, them or me,” Donato muses.

“We could always not kill?” suggests Higemaru. A shadow falls on them.

Donato spins around as a kakuja slams into him. Hakatori flies forward, swinging her quinques to remove Donato’s kagune. She then grabs Higemaru and leaps to safety.

“Hello, Father,” says Amon Koutarou. He straightens. “You’ll be arrested again. There is nothing more for you.”

Hakatori smiles down at Higemaru. “I couldn’t care less what they think.”

She leans down to kiss him.

Higemaru returns the kiss eagerly, and the rest of the Quinx clap. Even if CCG doesn’t have their back, their families do.

“Also,” says Hakatori, “if you ever push me out of the way again, I’ll tear your arm off myself.”

Higemaru blushes. “You know you loved it.”

“After you lived, sure.”

Do you have any thoughts or headcanons on Donato’s background before he was running the orphanage?

My real thoughts are that he may have some connection to Uta in his past, but that’s all. :O

As for fun headcanons, let’s go!

– Donato probably broke all his seminary rules.

– When he was really young and all alone on the streets of Russia, he went into confession out of despair.

– The priest who heard his confession took pity on a ghoul, and decided he could raise him as a proper Catholic.

– Unfortunately, Donato was a rowdy youngster a la Uta and Yomo. He put on a good face for his foster father, but his sadistic tendencies began to grow as well. Because in sadism, he found the power he’d always lacked.

– When he was found out, he fled Russia and never saw his Father again. He took in kids initially with good will, but his sadism eventually got the better of him.

– He saw Amon as the kid his Father wished he was, so he spared Amon.

– He’d probably deny all of this.

Could you possibly do a continuation of your Nico and the adopted human child please. Thank and have a good holiday.

Happy Holidays to you, too! ❤

“Kid, how much sugar have you had?” Nico may not know what sugar tastes like, but she knows it makes kids hyper. And she’s never quite seen a child hyper like this one.

“I ate all the cookies you bought me.” The girl, Reiko of no discernible surname, giggles. “They’re delicious.”

“Chocolate is still better than vanilla,” calls Souta. He remembers chocolate enough to be offended whenever anyone prefers vanilla. Which this brat does.

“It is not!” She stomps her foot.

“I’ll side with her,” says Itori, casually sipping her wine.

“You know,” Uta says slyly, “we could decorate his face green to make him look like the grinch.”

“Jesus Christ,” says Souta.

“Don’t swear in front of kids,” cries Nico.

“I’ve heard worse,” says Reiko.

“Still,” says Donato, holding up a cross towards a scandalized Souta.

“Are you all – you’re all seriously going to – wait -” Souta dives for the door, but Roma wrestles him back. “Uta, touch me and you will pay for this.”

I’m not going to,” Uta replies, handing Reiko the face paint he gave her for Christmas this morning. She cackles with joy, and Nico gives Souta a stern glare.

Nimura Furuta hangs his head and lets Reiko smear green all over his beautiful skin.

“The problem is your heart is three sizes too small,” sings Reiko.

All of us have that problem. Nico watches Reiko soberly. Maybe this kid is exactly what she and the rest of the clowns need.

Nico adopts a homeless human child and spends christmas with them 😏

“I like your makeup,” says a ratty-looking girl.

Nico turns around. She could eat her, but, like, kids? Especially one this thin, who complimented her makeup? Nico thinks not.

“Thank you.”

The girl smiles, a bit shakily.  “Do you have money please? I’m hungry.”

“Do you have a family?” Nico asks carefully.

“Ghouls ate them.” The girl wraps her arms around herself to ward off the December chill.

“Why didn’t you go to CCG, then?” Nico can’t believe she’s saying this.

“Daddy liked ghouls. He didn’t believe in killing them.” The girl pouts. “But now I’m very cold. I think everyone thinks I’m dead anyways.”

“You can…come home with me for tonight, at least,” Nico suggests. Nico, why? “I can give you food and a warm place to sleep. Besides, it’s Christmas Eve.”

“I know.” The girl looks sad. “I miss my parents.”

“Then come with me so you don’t freeze.” Nico extend her hand, and the girl takes it. Her fingers are like icicles.

Nico stops to buy cookies and milk for the girl and coffee for herself.

The girl gasps as soon s they enter Nico’s apartment. An elaborate tree too big for the room, stuffed with gaudy decorations, stands there. “I love it!”

“I’ll use the couch. You can have my bed,” Nico tells her. “Besides, Santa won’t care if an adult sees him.”

“Santa doesn’t know where I am,” says the child, greedily snatching the cookies.

“He has his ways.” Nico helps feed the chid, and even gives her soap to bathe herself. As the kid showers, Nico sends frantic text message after text message to her fellow clowns.

Adopted a human.

Get me presents.

Presents to give to her.

All of you.

You too, Donato. If you eat her, I’ll eat you.

Do I have to? Souta replies.

You’re the Bureau Director. Of all of us, you’re the richest, Uta says.

Get her fancy makeup. Nico sighs. Tomorrow will be a happy-ish day for this weird human if it’s the last thing she does.

What does each kagune user think of their kagune?

Kaneki Ken – I don’t feel human. 😦

(Edited to add Hajime)

I have my birthday today (i am 20 now) and thought maybe you could come up with some birthday party headcanons with birthday!reader x Uta, and maybe the Clowns? :3 just if you want of course

Happy Birthday Nonny-Mouse!

image

– from the moment Uta found out your birthday, he has been planning this party. And your mask. You may be a human, but he knows you like his masks.

– Itori and Roma were hired to take you out in the morning. Roma insisted you needed a new birthday outfit. Itori insisted it be sexy.

– Nico showed up halfway through your shopping trip, after “sleeping late.” She actually was in charge of helping Uta sneak all the wine, blood wine, coffee, and cake from Helter Skelter to HySy.

– Souta begged Uta to let him sneak a finger in the wine to freak you out. Uta considered it, but refused. He then plied Souta with his entire eyeball stash so he would help him decorate.

– Donato does not help set-up, but he agrees to make an appearance.

– Yomo does not want to be in the same room as Donato, but for Uta and you, he too will appear. You make Uta happy, and that’s enough for him.

– When you arrive back at HySy, the Clowns + Yomo yell SURPRISE.

– Donato makes a point to tell you he thinks you’re a good match for Uta, despite your humanity. You take it as a compliment, which endears you to him.

– You are surprised how good the cake is. Souta then tries it, remembering the days he too could eat cake.

– Souta feels ill, but refuses to vomit it up. So Itori forces him to drink blood wine until he does. He is, however, now quite drunk.

– Nico, also drunk, tries to seduce Souta. You intervene, and Donato gives Nico a sermon.

– Souta then begins tickling you. He demands to know if you love Uta. You say yes with a red face. Uta can’t help but smile.

– Souta then asks if he can arrest you for harboring ghouls. “You’ll have to escape,” he says, “and wear a disguise.”

– He presents you with a mustache and PARTY glasses. “Your disguise.”

– Yomo begins gushing about how much Uta has blossomed in your presence and how he can’t imagine anyone better.

– Itori and Roma begin comparing boobs. That’s when Uta decides the party is over.

– When the guests have been escorted home, Uta gives you your mask. “Thank you for being the best part of my life,” he says, sealing your love with a passionate kiss.

Oh golly, I was the one who asked for Fruit having a lil sister and aaw I absolutely adored it, thank you! So is it fine if we ask for more scenarios with Tsubaki?

Yes please. Much like her brother, Tsubaki loves attention!

“You sure you’re okay? He was your father, after all.” Uta peers at Souta from behind his mask.

Furuta snickers as he lounges on Tsuneyoshi’s desk, besides Daddy’s dead body. “Nah. He didn’t even know what I looked like.”

Donato laughs, but Uta hears hollowness in Furuta’s voice.

Donato pauses suddenly. His eyes narrow.

“What?” Uta asks.

The Priest holds a finger to his lips and springs towards the air vent above Tsuneyoshi. “Ha!”

“Go away!” calls a defiant child’s voice.

Furuta gasps now. Donato yanks open the vent, and down tumbles a little Washuu who looks eerily like Souta.

“Tsubaki?” Furuta is terrified. If Tsuneyoshi so much as touched his sister, he’s going to mutilate his corpse until there’s nothing left.

“I was supposed to be spying on him because he’s ignoring people in the garden but I was so scared when you came in I just hid – I’m sorry!” Tsubaki bursts into tears and launches herself at her brother, who catches her.

The girl stops suddenly. She slaps Furuta over and over. “Why? Why? Why?”

“You know our father was a piece of – garbage.”

You aren’t. Why are you continuing his murder spree?” Tsubaki looks at Donato and Uta angrily. “Why don’t you help my brother?”

“We are,” Donato says.

“I don’t like you. I don’t think you are.” Tsubaki clings tighter to Furuta. “I don’t think he’s happy.”

“I’m happy with you, Tsubaki,” Furuta whispers. He tries to wink at Uta, but fails miserably.

Uta smiles. He isn’t lying.

Melodrama, it runs in the family.

But guys what about Rize? I nominate Les Poissons.

Scenario where Akira stumbles upon Donato and has a conversation with him and Amon realizes she’s missing.

Akira approached at her father’s grave with trepidation. A gray-haired man knelt there, and as far as Akira knew, her father had had no old friends.

“Who are you?” she demanded.

Donato Porpora turned around.

“Jesus Christ!” she yelled, deliberately. Father had taught her well – her hidden quinque soared towards the ghoul. Don’t you dare disgrace Dad’s grave.

Donato laughed and easily sidestepped her blow. “My, my, you’re a fiery one. And here I thought graveyards were sacred.”

“Then why are you here?”

“Touché.” He leant against the gravestone of someone she didn’t know, but her ire burned all the same. No corpse deserved his filthy hands on their final memorial.

“I came to see the resting place of my future in-laws.” Donato smirked at her, and Akira’s cheeks turns pink.

“You leave Amon out of this,” she hissed. “You aren’t his father. My father was like a father to him. He didn’t trick him into silence while killing children.”

“No, he just convinced him to help kill ghoul children, am I right? I know about the Fueguchis.” Donato enjoyed her discomfort.

“He’s not yours.”

“Would you like to see pictures of him as a kid before you fail to kill me? He used to love the donuts I bought him.” Donato smirked. “Don’t worry, I can’t kill my future daughter-in-law.”

——————————————————————————————-

“Have you seen Akira?” Amon paced in front of a bored Seidou and amused Touka. “She won’t pick up her phone.”

“Nope.”

“She said she was going to visit Mayo’s grave,” Kaneki said, entering.

“Thank you for being helpful, Eyepatch.” Amon nodded curtly at the three ghouls – fellow ghouls – before heading out. He’d gotten her engagement ring fitted, and he wanted her to have it immediately.

He didn’t see anyone in the graveyard, though, and suddenly Amon’s intuition – the one her father had taught him to listen to – told him something was very, very wrong.

He wanted to call her name, but if something was wrong, that might be the wrong move. Amon scanned the hills of the dead to see a lone figure standing below a tree.

He jogged over, desperate to ask if someone had seen her.

“Hello, Amon.” The man turned around, and Amon froze.

“Where is she?” He clenched his fists.

“Up here.” Akira waved from the tree, where she was nestled in its branches, quinque ready. “He wanted to tell me all your fun childhood stories. I said I’d listen only if I could hold a quinque at his throat.”

“I like her,” Donato said.

“I don’t like you.”

“That’s why I like you.” Donato held out a picture to Amon. His face was smeared with chocolate frosting. “I held onto this the entire time I was in jail.”

“That’s nice,” Amon said stiffly.

“Of course, you can’t eat those now, can you.” Donato looked sad.

“No thanks to the likes of you.”

“And the likes of you now. Think on that.”

“If you think on the trauma you caused me and everyone else.” Amon crossed his arms. Akira nodded with approval.

Donato raised his eyebrows and melded into the twilight. Both former investigators just watched him go.

“There will be a time for justice,” Akira said finally. “Now isn’t it.”

“He’ll hurt someone else!” Amon gasped.

She leapt to the ground. “And you’d never forgive yourself if you were the one who killed him.”

He swallowed and stared at the ground.

“Stop being stubborn.”

Amon half-smiled. “You’re one to talk.”

She took his hand, and he slipped on her ring.
