Michiko wants Mizurou to teach her how to play video games

Based on @koyuki-tan‘s “Peace Sign.”

“Daddy, teach me video games.” Mizuki tugs on Mizurou’s arm.

“Which ones?” Mizurou smiles, calm outside although he’s inwardly dying of excitement. Finally, finally, his daughter will understand the joy of gaming.

“The one with the princess.” Mizuki pouts.

The Legend of Zelda?” Mizurou trembles. “Yes.”

Now, which game to pick…he muses. Not Majora’s Mask. It’s too creepy for her.

Michiko clears her throat from behind her husband and daughter. She waves about Breath of the Wild. “What about this one?”

“Michiko?” Mizurou’s mouth falls open.

“You’re teaching me too, Tamaki.” Michiko nods. “I’m ready.”

“Okay. It’s hard, though, and takes lots of practice,” Mizurou says, more for his daughter’s sake than his wife’s.

“I’m ready,” Mizuki says seriously.

“As am I.” Michiko sits onto the couch with more ceremony than Furuta’s inauguration. “Let’s begin this adventure.”

Half an hour later, Michiko is shrieking on the floor, Mizuki is laughing into Mizurou, and he’s filming his wife screaming at the console.

It’s wonderful.
