Appearance:
Personally, I will give this one to Furuta, because I dig the long-haired, quasi-feminine broken boy look (waves to Loki, Illumi Zoldyck, and Shigaraki Tomura). But, objectively, they’re both beautiful men.
Behavior:
Kaneki. Furuta’s fun, and I desperately want to know the depths of his broken soul, but Kaneki’s much more open about who he is, and open to learning about the value of life.
Power:
Physically, I think half-ghoul Kaneki probably has the fight experience to best half-ghoul Furuta. There’s a reason Suzuya, not Fruit-chan, fought Kaneki.
Intelligence:
I’m giving this a tie. Kaneki might beat Furuta for traditional book smarts – but Furuta’s world-wisdom dwarfs Kaneki’s. However, Kaneki tends to hide his smarts behind idealism and willful ignorance, so his behavior doesn’t always match his intelligence. At the end of the day, Furuta’s plan worked because of Kaneki’s past trauma, not because he was smarter. -__-
