TW for eating disorders.
I highly recommend getting help and talking to people about it if you have one, as we will see in this scenario. Also, you’re not alone. I promise. ❤
Suzuya can’t believe he’s doing this again, so he ignores that he is.
But sometimes, he likes to starve himself. Especially when he’s reminded of Mr. Shinohara, or he sees Marude and the others who’ve mocked him, because maybe if he’s thin enough he’ll disappear from their snotty gaze.
Sometimes he doesn’t feel good enough. So he eats all the sweets everyone brings him, and then he pukes it up. There’s a satisfaction with the dizziness he experiences afterwards.
He staggers out of the bathroom stall to see Keijin Nakarai against the wall, arms crossed.
“Hey,” he rasps.
“Sick again?” Mizurou Tamaki sits by the sinks, and Hanbee leans against the door. Miyuki Mikage stands in the middle.
“Yes,” Suzuya says softly.
“Look, Suzuya, you’re my squad leader. And I love you. But I’m worried,” says Keijin.
“You always do this when you’re stressed out. The gorging yourself and vomiting,” Mikage says. “I’ve been keeping track.”
Suzuya pales. “No.”
“My sister has bulimia,” says Mizurou, swinging his feet. “It’s always worse when she’s stressed, too.”
“I don’t have that,” Suzuya says angrily. “That’s for girls.”
“You can be any gender and have an eating disorder,” Hanbee says with a sad laugh. “I used to be anorexic. I thought I could make myself shorter that way.”
“Wait, really?” Keijin chokes back a laugh.
“Suzuya, we love you.” Mikage steps forward. “Let us help you.”
Suzuya’s eyes fill. “I don’t even know where to begin.”
“We’ll help you with that, too. First step is us supporting you.” Keijin wraps an arm around his squad leader. “And walking out that door.”
