What are your feelings and thoughts on Irimi and Koma?

I freaking love them, and I ship them hard.
Their transformation from bitter rivals to friends is beautiful. It shows the power of people to change – a theme the main hope of Tokyo Ghoul (cooperation of both species) rests on.
That being said, their inability to erase their past – to the point of self-flagellation and suicide in the Anteiku Raid – is tragic and infuriating. One of the few changes I liked in the Root A anime was the scene of Kaneki rescuing them from battle to keep them from throwing their lives away.
As for right now, I think they’re truly dead, unless Dragon resurrects them, too. And that hurts me in my already broken heart. :‘
