From @koyuki-tan’s “Peace Sign.”
Hirako rubs a hand across his face. He is not prepared to deal with romance when the kids are still so young.
His kids. They’re practically his children. They can’t be developing crushes and feelings.
Hirako grabs his Shiba and pulls it against his chest. He buries his face in its fluff to muffle his moan.
“I don’t want to teach them about love, pupper. I’ve never had it – except you, I love you, of course,” Hirako assures the dog.
Look at him. He’s crazy. Talking to a dog.
The next day, Hirako gently prods Yusa until the kid confesses his feelings.
“I know, Yusa,” Hirako says with a grin. “We can formulate a plan, if you wish.”
Yusa’s eyes brighten. “Really?”
An adult will help him? He’ll definitely be successful now, right?
He stares across the room, where Marie stands with her fellow beta-Quinxes. Excitement blooms in his heart.
“Let’s get started.”
