What if the one saving Juuzou from falling was Shinohara instead of Mizurou

SOB.

“Suzuya!”

Just like that, the ground isn’t there anymore.

He’s falling. People are falling. His comrades tumble down into the arms of that – that thing, that greedy monster devouring the city.

Just a second ago, he was standing on concrete.

“Suzuya!” Hands shoot out and grab his wrist.

Suzuya looks up – why is he safe, why has he been spared again –

Mr. Shinohara stares back at him.

“What?” Suzuya fights the fear that he’s dead, because this is too good to be true. “How are you back?”

He knew it. He was right to fight Haise. He should have killed him. Then the fallen wouldn’t have died.

Mr. Shinohara tosses Suzuya back onto solid ground, where Nakarai and Mizurou catch him.

“How?” Suzuya cries again, paralyzed with love for his mentor.

When Mr. Shinohara crawls back up, Suzuya sees.

Shinohara now has a bikaku. He used it to save them both from falling.

“Bet you weren’t expecting us, were you?” Shirazu Ginshi – someone who’s at least supposed to have a kagune, though not life itself – hurries over.

“What is happening?!” Suzuya screams.
